For all of you in the process of losing weight right now, I have a couple of questions that might help others, too:
1. What's your weight loss goal?
2. When did you start your weight loss journey (I don't like 'diet' :rolleyes:)?
3. How much have you lost so far (pounds, inches, dress sizes or both)?
4. What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)?
5. Are you taking any supplements for weight loss?
6. If you have one, what is your goal date (or mini-goal date)?
Thank you!!! This might give the rest of us ideas on what we can incorporate in our own regimens to lose.

1. What's your weight loss goal? To go from 147ish to 135.
2. When did you start your weight loss journey (I don't like 'diet' :rolleyes:)? Jan 01 08, but I didn't start getting serious until about Jan 25th.
3. How much have you lost so far (pounds, inches, dress sizes or both)? 4.2 lbs, about 4 inches and probably a dress size.
4. What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)? I exercise 5-6 times a week for 30-60 minutes. I eat 1400-1700 calories a day (usually around 1700:grin:). I'm a vegetarian, so no meat. I only drink water and I don't eat dairy if I can help it. I alternate between Tae Bo, belly dance, jump rope, and I just got Turbo Jam, so I can't wait to try that out. I'll start running and biking next month when the semester ends. I also do strength training 2-3 times a week.
5. Are you taking any supplements for weight loss? Nope.
6. If you have one, what is your goal date (or mini-goal date)? By my birthday, which is May 7th.

2. When did you start your weight loss journey (I don't like 'diet' :rolleyes:)? I technically started last year before I got pregnant, ate healthy while pregnant, and then continued healthy eating after. I only 'got serious' about it in the last month though
3. How much have you lost so far (pounds, inches, dress sizes or both)? I lost all my baby weight + 10 lbs since December
4. What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)? I'm doing the Body For Life Challenge NOW, but from December to January I was following my gestational diabetes diet (for the most part :look:)
5. Are you taking any supplements for weight loss? I take a multi-vitamin, chromium picolinate, a fiber supplement, flax/borage/fish oil supplement, and a Vitamin D/Zinc/Calcium supplement.
6. If you have one, what is your goal date (or mini-goal date)? I told myself that I want to lose the 90 lbs by my daughter's birthday, which is December 18th. I think that's a good amount of time to lose the weight in. I hope to have lost at least half that by my birthday in June though

20 lbs. lost gained back 10 over the Holidays at the end of the year, lost 10 at over the past two months. Overall I've lost 10-15 inches mostly in my waist and arms. I'll come back with a more accurate measurement of inches lost this evening as my trainer is supposed to measure myself and my SIL.
4. What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)?
As of this year I stopped eatting all fast food, no eatting after 7 pm, workiong out 5-6 days a week(I'll do 7 depending on how I feel), spinning is my favorite activity so I do that 2-3 times a week and then my other workout consist of weight training, running and ab work. All the stuff I didn't do last year. I strictly did spinning and did not change my diet very much. My bad, I learned my lesson. This month I'm working out with a personal trainer.
5. Are you taking any supplements for weight loss?
No, but I have considered taking fat burners...i'm still on the fence about that.
6. If you have one, what is your goal date (or mini-goal date)?
My next goal is 20 lbs, My goal date is April 24th just in time for the Mary and Jay Z Concert. I can't wait to buy my outfit. :grin:

2. When did you start your weight loss journey (I don't like 'diet' :rolleyes:)? I've been on a journey for 12 years. Most recently got back on track Jan. 7th, 2008
3. How much have you lost so far (pounds, inches, dress sizes or both)? about 24 pounds, at least one dress size
4. What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)? Less eating out; cardio plus weights 3x a week. I intended to begin going every morning, for 1hr of cardio and then 30 min. resistance; saw bariatric dr. for guidance.
5. Are you taking any supplements for weight loss? Phentermine (Dr. prescribed) flax oil, muscle milk LITE
6. If you have one, what is your goal date (or mini-goal date)? October. But I will be happy with December, too.

I want to add that I want a personal trainer. A guy worked with me at the LA fitness and he rocked my world :infatuated: I am in love. He reminded me how much physical activity, and it's intensity, will really make the difference. He pointed out a woman (black lady!) he worked with; she had lost 225 pounds in one year! She looked great; down from 450 pounds. That is a beautiful thing!!

3. How much have you lost so far (pounds, inches, dress sizes or both)?~I have dropped a total of 42lbs (I slowed down on my exercising and slacked off on eating around Sept07 and gained about 10lbs back..wish I hadnt done that now)

What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)?~I worked out religiously for 6 days a week..doing mainly cardio/I was strict on couting calories and allowed myself to have a total of 1250 calories each day(cruel for the first 3 months:nono:)/For the first 2 months I was taking Phentermine & Xenical prescribed my doctor. I stopped take the Xenical after a month because my eating habits had changed and was 1000 times better. I stopped taking Phentermine because I was getting leg cramps and my BP had went up.
~Now I am doing an equal amount of cardio and weight training/still counting calories just not as hard keeping it close to 1350-1400 calories per day
5. Are you taking any supplements for weight loss?
~Currently only taking CLA...helps me a lot with my ab section
6. If you have one, what is your goal date (or mini-goal date)?
~I would like to lose about another 45-50lbs before September, just in time for vacation again; but no slacking off afterward.

I'm not really thinking in terms of weight, more like dress sizes. I want to be a size 8 by summer.

Roughly late November/early December 2007. I started at 190 lbs.

I haven't weighed myself since about 2 weeks after I started. If I had to estimate, I'd say about 15lbs or so. But I've gone from a size 16 to a size 12. I'm currently in between a size 10 and 12. I've gone from a 35 in. waist to a 30 in. waist. I haven't measured anything else because inches lost elsewhere don't matter to me. :look:
4. What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)?
A particular diet pill. :look: It has no adverse effects on me. If you really want the crib notes on it, PM me. :yawn:
Other than that, lots more water, fast food only twice a month as opposed to twice daily, not eating out as much, lots more veggies and fruits, PORTION CONTROL, cooking at home.

As mentioned, to be a size 8. I don't want to be as small as a size 6 again but if I get there I sure won't be complaining. :rolleyes:

My problem areas are my midsection, back and hips. I would like to at least fit back in a size 38 bra and be a size 12. I have also went back to eating oatmeal every morning since its supposed to be good for heart health

I'm doing the clean eating challenge.....just basically eliminating processed foods, white flour products, red meat and empty calories. For exercise, I'm doing the Couch to 5k and weight training. I plan to incorporate more spinning because it's my favorite activity.

Not sure completely, but I would like to get into onderland though. I am thinking a size 12, but my mom says I would do good at a 9.

22 pounds. I haven't checked inches lately.

I use sparkpeople and keep my calories between 1200 and 1500. I have 2 1/2 vegetarian days and the rest are lean meat and vegetable. I only eat whole grains in small portion and minimally.
I exercise days a week. I am just start Couch 2 5k. I also rotate Taebo, Turbo Jam, Masala Banghra, and yoga. I am thinking of starting the biggest loser too.

Nope, just multi vitamin and B-complex

I would like to be in onderland by my birthday at the end of June. I would like to be close to my goal clothing size by the time I move in August.

avoiding refined sugars/bleached flours, strength training every other day, cardio (dvds, treadmill, elliptical) 4-5x per week

No, I only take msm for my knees, but nothing specifially for weight loss

I don't have a date in mind, but I'd like to be able to wear a bikini before the end of summer.

My weight loss goal is 10 lbs. I'm 5'2", 133 lbs the last time I checked, so that would put me at 123 lbs.

Don't know. It's only been a little over a week and I'm not weighing myself until next week. I'll check back in this thread when I do finally weigh myself.

I did a raw diet for one week. Now I have eased into the South Beach Diet. Since I just started that, I'm in Phase I, which lasts 2 weeks. In this phase, I can have lean cuts of turkey & chicken, low-fat/nonfat cheese & yogurt, all the veggies I want, and sugar substitutes like Splenda. NO fruits, fruit juices, desserts, rice, pasta, bread though :blush: I'm also working out 4-5 days a week (starting this week) and drinking plenty of water. May incorporate some green tea and ACV soon, too.

This first 10 lbs I want off by MAY 8TH. That's the day I leave for a vacation to LA!

I'm always on a diet. But at times I'm more serious about it because the weight just creep up (like the last 10 lbs I gained)

4. What are you doing to lose weight (nutrition/exercise (how many times a week?)/meds/program)? I've been eating healthy. I started the Hip Hop Abs program this week. I plan on doing physical excersize at least 30 minutes 5 times a week. But I'm planning on increasing it to an hour one soon.

6. If you have one, what is your goal date (or mini-goal date)? Lose 10 lbs by April 19th
