I have $250 to buy a suit or two that are really nice. I dunno what kinda suit I should wear there. I wanna look sassy but professional and classy. I saw this cuuute belted pant suit on a runway somewhere...but I don't seem to see the style anywhere. I think i saw one on Victoria Secret...but it looked cheap...
Where can I buy a nice suit at prefably a belted jacket suit?
What colors are good in the professional world?
Open Toe or closed toe shoes?:perplexed

* you can make most suits belted, except double breasted, with a skinny or wide belt. Even a shirtdress.
* professional colors black, navy, brown, tan chino suits or even white depending on the industry and office atmosphere
* open or closed - again depending on the industry. If you go open, stay away from strappy, glittery or anything that looks to nighttime-ish. A peep toe shoe is safe and professional.

I just bought a very nice belted suit w/ skirt by Anne Klein from filene's basement. You have to dig to get the good ones sometimes but I thought the one I picked out was very flattering and professional, but still felt sweet and youthful.
I agree w/ jlove about the shoes.

It's like a clothing version of dsw. We have a bunch of them in nyc, but I'm not sure if they have them all over or it's a regional thing. I guess just search the racks at your local dept store, and you're bound ot find something since they're definitely out now.

I agree with Filene's. I love Tahari suits (not to be mistaken with Elie Tahari which is nice but too pricey). I find Tahari suits at Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshall's.

I love Tahari as well!
I buy them on sale/clearance at Macy's.

Okay, I think this is a kute suit, but this belt is ugly. I want something like a different textured belt or some belt to really make the suit pop and look classy and expensive.
