Not hooked up as in sexually, but I have casually dated one of my trainers...didn't turn out too well and made things awkward at the gym. After that, I refused to entertain advances from other trainers.

My best friend is dating her trainer, but stopped going to the gym and he gladly relinquished being her personal trainer. They both found that the trainer/trainee dynamics had changed once they began dating.

You know, I just had this same discussion with one of my girlfriends. They are soooo fine, but I couldn't cross that line because they run into too many women and what if it didn't work out? I'd hate to have to give him the evil death stare:eye: every time I went to the gym.

Thank you for answering. My trainer is really cute and he always gives me free invites to the clubs (he also works as a bouncer)....but I guess this is one dude who is off limits!

When I belonged to a gym in my 20's, there was a trainer/bodybuilder competer in his 40's, that was interested in me and he helped me a lot with the my weight training. We went on a couple of dates, but after getting to know him, I didn't like his attitude at all--he was loud and very arrogant, so I slowly distanced myself from him.

When I was younger I had a crush on my trainer. He was HOTT!!!!! I never told him, and he had a girlfriend.

About 3 years later (he was no longer training me) I got the green light from him, but by then I'd met my DH. So I said no thanks!

in my experience, the trainers and other men i have met in the gym are looking for a good time. we call the bally's by my house "Club Bally's" because like a club many of the men there are on the prowl for a one-night stand.

not saying all men/trainers are but many of them are. proceed with caution, lol.

I wanted to but he had a live-in gf. We were friends though and I went over his house twice to fix his computer and he helped me move. He said I was the only client he ever became friends with. Too bad he had a gf. :sad:
