I realized this past summer that I am 100% OBSESSED with J Crew and of course Ralph Lauren. My mom and little sister make fun of me and say I dress like a conservative old lady.

Anyone share my obsession for the Club style? Love the nauticals? I especially think that J Crew keeps it soo fresh and youthful. But then when I look on here at the brands and things that folks my age are into it's always so different.

Maybe this should be a poll...

ETA: Does anyone live near a Ralph Lauren Rugby store? Is it all you ever dreamed of?

Not obsessed but I do really like J Crew. I buy alot of basics there. They have really started to grow on me the past few years.

I am. I'd say a good 80% of my work clothes are from J.Crew, most of the essentials, shoes and handbags too.

The quality is far better than BR (I used to work for BR, but haven't been in a store in about a year or so) and the colors are so flattering to most skintones. Not too big on the nauticles, but love their prints.

ITA!! I love JCrew (well right after Club Monaco). But I think JCrew is much better style wise and quality over BR.

Eventhough some of their prices are :wallbash:

I like their t-shirts, sweaters, jackets and winter coats. I'm especially loving the colors out now for spring.

I like their clothing items but i would never buy them at full price because i think they're overpriced.

Because some of us are stylistically challenged and don't know how to put pieces together. Fashion catalogs and magazines are cute but I don't find them to be practical.

I don't think I'm walking out the house in pink shorts, a striped tank, and a yellow cropped jacket in pumps. I could and it would look cute on someone else but it just wouldn't be me. But maybe I could wear each piece individually with something more subtle....

The smilie was there so I felt led to use it:arrowleft:

stylistically challenged:lachen::lachen: not making fun, I just think it's cute.

OK, I see why you would need pics. I will admit, that if you look at BR or Ann Taylor for example, you can put those looks together and not feel like you've got to much going on. J Crew is known for their prints and vibrant colors, so that can throw people off.

The key with J. Crew is choosing 1 print and building around that. Some different prints can go together, but do it with caution. Layering is very big part of the J. Crew look - tank or tee, button up, with a cardigan or sweater and a jacket. It seems like a lot, but once you get the hang of it, it's a cool look.

Play up the colors with accessories - shoes, handbag, scarf, headband etc.

I used to buy a good number of pieces from J. Crew but I've found that the quality isn't that great for the price. I've actually found that BR stuff holds up better.

I could not afford a J. Crew obsession, but I bought my guy an argyle sweater and an argyle sweater vest from there last month. He's behaved well lately...

JCrew has a lot of nice clothing for work. It's work appropriate with a flair. I like that they add details to their clothing that IMO gives it a more sophisticated look than some of the alternatives out there. They are also more trend conscious than their same ilk counterparts. There shoes are also really comfy. I desperately wanted the flat richmond boots they had this season.

I get most of my work basics (pants/button ups/cardigans) from Theory, Jcrew, and Club Monaco.

I have been a J.CREW fan for years....I love what they have had out in recent months with all the bright colors and all...I love cashmere and even though their cashmere I thought was horrible when it first came out 10 years ago it's a lot better now...I also love their dress pants, merino wool sweaters and casual tops, tanks and tees for the summer...I mainly like their solid color stuff and they always sell a lot of it so that is what has kept me a fan for so many years...they have also had a lot of beautiful shoes lately as well...
