I have the same probelm, but I've found two brands that work for me.
1.) Grande Jeans (They sell these at Macys)
2.) Charolotte Rousse Jeans (Who would have thought?!)
Also, have you tried Old Navy jeans? (I'm tall, so I have to find jeans that not only fit right, but also have good length.)
One of my closest friends has just decided it would be best to her to get jeans that fit her booty and then have the wasit taken in at the tailors. (Cost her about $10-$15). They did a pretty good job. I couldn't even tell where they cut out/ took in.
Hope that helps!!!

Have you tried Joe's Honey fit or Muse jeans? They fit very well IMO, especially for small waist, bigger booty shapes. I also wear khaki's on the weekends with a button down shirt, sweater, or cotton tees depending on the weather. I usually buy them from Banana Republic or J crew.

If you have a small waist and a round booty, some of the high waisted pants might look FABULOUS on you. Theory, LaRok, J & CO, BeBe and BCBG all have some fabulous high waisted pants.
And you can pair them with different things to dress them up or down - I actually love the look of a ribbed tank top (i.e. wife beater) with some nice high waisted jeans and round toe flats as a casual look. Change the shoes to some heels and a blazer and now you've got a great looking happy hour/night outfit.
An a-line flowy skirt my also look fabulous on you. Think: Anthropologie.

I have the same problem; I wear GAP in a size 10 and banana republic jeans in a size 8. I take them to the tailor to fit my waist. I have a 26 inch waist and 42 inch hips.

Jeans from Chicos fit my small waist and big booty perfectly! :yep:
I always thought of it as an "older ladies" store, but the jeans are on point...some have rhinestones, flare cut, dark colored, you name it. And the fit is great!

Me too.....I buy Banana Rebublic and Seven...the key is to have a lot of stretch in them...and then have them altered. This is the only way I have found them to work.

I agree 100% with this statement. I always go for jeans that have at least 3%-5% stretch in them . The more the better! (2% or less doesn't do much.)

I've never heard of Grande, will take a look. I can't think of a charlotte rousse in NY. I don't like Old Navy Jeans because the crotch area is always baggy or has a "seat" in the front. Taking in the waist doesn't work. I tried that, and they became a pain to get over my hips. Thanks for your help and advice.

I have two pairs of Joes jeans. I never paid attention to the style. I actually love the way one pair fits.

I started to quote everyone but I was getting a little:spinning:
Anyhoo, again thanks to you all for your responses.
I guess I will try a different tailor or cleaners to take in the waist, because the one and only time I did that was a disaster. I just hate the fact that when I do go denim shopping it literally turns into a project. I mean 20 or more pairs of jeans in the fitting room only to leave with one or none!:wallbash::wallbash:
So sorry if I sound so angry. After my last denim trip at Century I was completely over jeans. Anyhoo. I made a list and will be checking out Macy's, Gap and Banana...Next time I go to Jersey I will try CR.
Thanks again ladies:yep:

I don't know where you are located but Downtown Brooklyn Macy's is a mess with the PZI stuff. I was just there asking when they plan on getting a new shipment and no one had an idea. The jeans were all over mixed in with other stuff, it is a mess. I have the Classic jeans from them in 34 inseam, in my normal size.
I think you will find them acceptable.

Yup that's the one I went to and they pretty much gave me the same answer. I get anxiety attacks when I go into 34th st.
