I feel like I keep dying in my sleep

For the last 2 nights there will be a time in my sleep where I wake up and my SO is checking my pulse heart and everything, to make sure I am breathing. BUt, while he's doing it he doesn't feel me breathing (which is why he does it) and he keeps calling my name and finally I open my eyes. This is weird to me because i'm not a deep sleeper and I know when you are asleep you are unaware of somethiings but I tend not to remember anything during that moment. It reminds me of when I went unconsious for a few mintues, I remembered everything before or after and that's it.

Could this just be a mind thing? Or is it possible that I did stop breathing? Is it normal...

Lately my mom has been feeling like people are trying to harm our family. If my feeling is right could they be trying to harm me...i'm just confused.

You may need to see your doctor; actually I think you should. There could be a disorder in your breathing while you lie down. Some people have a well known health issue called 'sleep apnea'. Where a person stops breathing for brief periods of time during their sleep. It's best to go and have your doctor and/or doctors check this out.

You see there's so much in the news these days with so much 'harm' being imposed and inflicted upon others that it's no small wonder that you mom may fear it happening to your family.

We're asking God to reveal, protect, heal, and deliver each of you from all evil. For that's what He promises in His word. To lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. We thank God for showing your mom 'CLEARLY' what is going on.

God bless you and don't be afraid. God is protecting you right now so you can to the doctors and get your sleep situation checked out. :giveheart:

I second Shimmie's remarks -- it sounds like sleep apnea . . . you should go to the hospital or call your doctor immediately. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea last year and since then I've been using a breathing machine to help me during the night. I feel so much better now - I'm actually able to sleep during the night without feeling groggy when I wake up (because usually your body tries to wake you up when you stop breathing during the night).

I appreciate this thread because it is reminding me how important it is to wear my mask. (I've been slacking the last few days and this is just reminding me to do what I need to do to protect my health.)

Sounds like sleep apnea. A lot of people that snore have sleep apnea...sometimes you can hear them gasping for air. You should see a physician. There is something that can help you.

I just read the post about your husband's dreams and then came in and read this one. The first thing that came to my mind is that the enemy is trying to oppress you. I believe that this is a spiritual attack being leveled at you and your husband.

I think what is happening to you and he is occurring while you all are sleeping b/c the enemy is seeking a weak point in your lives to gain entry. I don't know what your night time preparations include but I would strongly suggest that you pray the Lord to protect you while you sleep and block all access to you by the enemy. Also, be careful about what you are watching on t.v. before you go to sleep; this is a way the enemy gains entrance. Also, I would get rid of anything in the room that is not of God (ex. seemingly harmless statues, impure books, etc.).

Finally, I would pray that the Lord give you revelation about what is happening in the spirit realm (we are not to be ignorant of the enemy's devices). And don't be afraid to request prayer from your church family, even if that means asking someone to come to your home and pray over it (I often pray over my house and my parent's house, anointing it with oil, to make sure that spirits that are not of God are refused entry).

However, this angel needs to see a doctor. Here's why, be this spiritual or not, God has to give her the understanding for the 'natural' causes and natural solutions. It is I who THANKS YOU for bringing the spiritual balance in this. They both go hand in hand, the spirit and the natural. You definitely heard from God and shared it in your post. I totally agree with al that you've shared.

Sometimes there are vunerable 'situations' in our lives where spiritual attacks are given easy access. But for the grace and mercy of God, He still protects us, even when He's blocked from getting in.

He continues to deliver us from evil and leads us not unto temptation.

While she still needs a doctor, I praise God for you and for the obedience you have in the Lord. Again, your brought this thread home. For doctors will never be able to have God's credit. God uses doctors as His intruments and to give us clarity for the symptoms in our bodies. It's God's wisdom that flows through doctors. Man can never take God's credit. Trust me, I still pray before I let any doctor touch me... :lachen::lachen::lachen:Shoot, I'm no fool. I may have to 'see' a doctor, but not without Jesus and prayer. SEMO you are on point! But like you I am trusting God and not the doctors. Whenever I hear of someone in the hospital I always pray for the doctors that will treat them (that they will have wisdom, be kind and diligent, etc.).

I got so passionate in my original post because I myself recently experienced God's deliverance. I didn't realize how different spirits were affecting me (ex. one of my roommate is sort of into mysticism I think). The spirit of lust was so strong in my next door neighbors bedroom (we share a wall) that it was affecting me even in my sleep.

Other people's bad spirits were starting to infect me and pull me away from God. After awhile I had to call a friend to pray for me and I had to pray for myself that I would be delivered. I cast out the spirit of lust along with others and I can feel the difference in my spirit.

As Christians God gives us power to set the atmosphere where we are and invite His presence and power in :yep:. It needs to becomes a regular practice of ours to cast out the enemy when we realize his influence.

Plead the wonder working BLOOD OF JESUS over yourself from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet and your entire families.

Declare that no other spirit handles you but the Spirit of the living GOD.

Read Psalms 91 out loud if possible and ask the Lord to encamp HIS angels around you.

Leave soft praise and worship music on in your home all the time.

Again, it is I who thanks you, Precious SEMO. I 'knew' I was 'home' reading your post. It was 'home'. For I too know deliverance.

I used to share a large house with my sister and I was the 'saved' one...full of the Holy Ghost, praying, tithing, Church going, one who loved Jesus and God's word.

Tell me the devil didn't try to 'act up' in that house. YET God...SEMO, Yet God! I learned how to pray beyond the natural and into the spiritual realm and many a demon spirit had to flee.

Bottomline, I could 'sense' your joy in God's faithfulness to you. In Psalm 91 where God says, "though a thousand may fall by your side, ten thousand by your right hand, it shall not come nigh thee..."

And in Psalm 138, where God says, "though you walk in the midst of trouble, I will be with you." For in Psalm 46, God promises, "I am in the midst of her and she shall not be moved."

SEMO no matter where we are, no matter what's going on around us...God is there keeping us as His own.
