Now that my lashes are so much longer, I'm paying more attention to them than ever before. I recently bought the Lash/Comb by StudioTools at Target for combing and separating eyelashes. It has a comb on one side and a thin 100% boar bristle brush on the other for the eyebrows. I really love using this comb and I don't know why I haven't before. It's used after applying mascara. :gorgeous:

Do you comb your eyelashes to separate them? If so, do you have any tips to offer?

I use the little comb and brush! :yep:

I comb out my lashes before applying mascara, just so I know each lash will be covered, not all stuck together...and then use the brush after putting macara on, to get rid of any clumpiness. It really helps me because I have to usually apply two or three coats for work.

I "Eye" have long lashes and love Mascara....lots of it.

My tip is to place a piece of cardboard (old business card) on the lid when applying mascara. This protects your eyelid from oopsies, adds a wee bit of a curl/lift to them, and saves me time cause I never get clumps using this method. The lashes come out with an even coat root to tip.

The mascara I use has a comb in it rather than a wand. Isis did you jump on the SAA or have you been using pure castor oil?

I use a tip similar to yours. I take a plastic spoon and put it on the lid of eye when I apply my mascara. All the 'wipe off' goes on the spoon and not your lid. I dont do this often because I am often in a hurry. But it works.

What I do more often is use a clean disposable mascara brush to run through my lashes after I apply my mascara. (The kind you use in Sephora or at the MAC counter.)

I've always had long lashes, probably because I've used castor oil to remove mascara for years. Yes, I am using SAA and my lashes are longer than ever! That's why I was wondering if there is a terminal length for eyelashes. I still use castor oil at night to remove makeup. :yep:

Thank you for replying Isis.

I'm still sulking that I can't source SAA in the UK. :wallbash:
The postage charges on lotioncrafter are outrageous!
