Has anyone heard of this book? I see that it will be mentioned on Ellen's show tomorrow. I went on Men's Health website and saw info on it and was shocked at how much calories and fat some meals contain.

Some of the numbers are astounding. :nono:
The book tells you what is a better choice compared to the others.
Here is one example:
Fruit Smoothie:
Eat This
Jamba Juice Power Mega Mango Smoothie
420 calories
97 g sugar
Not That
Dunkin’ Donuts Large Tropical Fruit Smoothie
720 calories
5 g fat
142 g sugar
Save 300 calories and 45 grams of sugar!
The swaps arent always a healthy choice, because using this first example 97 grams of sugar on 1 drink is A LOT!! But if you want to have a fruit smoothie, that is a better choice.
Here is another one:
Fast Food Salad:
Eat This
McDonald’s Grilled Chicken Asian Salad with Sesame Ginger Dressing (14.3 oz)
390 calories
12.5 g fat
Not That
Wendy’s Mandarin Chicken Salad with Oriental Sesame Dressing
540 calories
25 g fat
Save 150 calories and 12.5 grams of fat!
OR THIS:
Cheeseburger:
Eat This
McDonald’s Big Mac
540 calories
29 g fat
Not That
Burger King Whopper with Cheese
760 calories
47 g fat
Save 220 calories and 18 grams of fat!
I think this might be useful for people if they want to go and indulge once in a while. I do however think there are healthier options that the book could have listed. But I am assuming this is based on a one time only deal or if you have a particular craving rather than basing a diet around these
choices. God bless you all.
