Ok, so I'm going to a church event very soon and it's semiformal. Thing is the only semi-formal dress I have is above the knee, it hits the knee. It's also very shortsleeved.

I just remembered that I have a suit. I'll wear that and call it a night.

I think a dress at the knee is fine and short sleeves since your body is NOT over exposed.
