I have really benefitted from supplements cultured and based on whole foods...

The brands I use are Innate Response, Megafood and Alta Silica
I take:
Silica (Alta Silica - http://www.vitacost.com/Homeopathy/AltaHealthProducts )
Magnesium
GTF Chromium and
Selenium.

I just wanted to put up some links in case anyone was interested in these high quality type of supplements...

www.megafood.com
https://www.innateresponse.com/

I get the megafood brand at www.vitacost.com

I get innate response at

HTH!

Another great thread, Vev!!! If you decide to change career, you need to get into alternative/complementary medicine.

I have been switching to whole foods based supplements too. I feel it makes better sense from a nutritional and natural point of view to NOT isolate the supplement from the food it comes from.

For Vitamin C, I am taking amla. Amla is the Indian goosebery, and it has the highest content of Vitamin C in any fruit or vegetable.

I don't buy it from the above. I get a cheaper one at my local health food store.

I went to Whole Foods hoping that they'd have more Alta Silica, but they didn't. I need to get my third bottle, so it looks like I'll have to make the trek to Vitamin Shoppe.:ohwell:

You might consider a bulk order at www.vitacost.com might be cheaper in the long run.

18.99:angry2: I was not happy. I wasn't able to purchase from Vitacost, it won't allow me to ship to and address different from my billing address.

Yes I'm in Queens. I don't understand it wouldn't allow me to do it I tried three times. I was on hold with the company but I hung up I was at work at the time. But I can get it at Amazon it's a lil cheaper than Vitamin Shoppe.

Hey
Im new! I just want to point out that If you want the most for your money you may want to check the label for the USP stamp. These vitamins have been certified and absorb in the gut. Whole Foods and Central MKt carry them.
