Has anyone tried wheat grass and had success. My son has that horrible flu bug flying around and my girlfriend went to a health food stores where they freshly squeez the juice out of the wheat grass. I gave my son 2 ounces and it smelled like grass and dark green like grass too but it actually has a natural sweet taste to it. This is our first time trying wheat grass so I guess I will know in the next day or so if it works. Anyway, wheat grass anyone http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I haven't consumed wheat grass to boost my immune system. So I don't know what it has done for that. I just like to get wheat grass in my smoothies, b/c it tastes so good and I heard that it was a good source of vitamins (I guess that would boost the immune system).
I haven't tried it juice form only powder. I always get it a teaspoon of wheat grass in my blueberry, banana smoothie http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif
My plan is to start consuming wheat grass more and seeing if it helps with my hair growth. If only I could get it to taste like that blueberry banana smoothie

Hi!
I am new to the board and this is my first post.
I juice wheatgrass and take about two ounces (1/4 cup) in the morning. I use it to detoxify and strengthen my body system. As with many natural foods, it may take time, over time, to receive the benefits.
There is a book called Sacred Woman by Queen Afua. This is what she says about wheatgrass:
"Wheatgrass contains all the vitamins and minerals that the human body needs except vitamin C. It has strong rejuvenation qualities to strengthen the nerves, cells, tissues, and bones as it cleanses the blood. Wheatgrass is a very potent detoxifier." Because it cleanses, it removes toxins from the body allowing body systems, like the immune system, to work better [unhindered]. I hope this helps a little.

Welcome Chicoro http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif
Thank you for posting some info on wheat grass. I also heard it helps some cancer patients by producing more red blood cell which causes an increase of oxygen in the body. Maybe my whole family should take this as a daily supplement, it's sound so powerful.
Hi from me too Chicoro. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif Thanks for the information!

I had a few wheatgrass shots while I was detoxing. It makes me queasy but it is supposed to do that. It has the most unpleasant after taste! It makes me burp a lot too and I can taste the grass all day no matter what I eat. ICK! I couldn't stomach it. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif I will stick with good old fashioned vitamin C!
