What MAC pigments should I buy?

I want to try some of the MAc Pigments. So I won't go to the counter and get overwhelmed by the selection, please point me in the right direction. Which pigments do you own and how do you use them?

Hey, pigments are tricky, but used properly they're a lot of fun and absolutely gorgeous! You can add them to nail polish, eyeshadows, blush, etc. They're extremely concentrated so use VERY sparingly. I use them alone as an eyeshadow for an extreme look. I would suggest going on ebay and buying samples of the colors you like before buying the huge bottle (Which should last for about 9 months to a year). I've had my "samples" (from the 'bay) for about 6 months, nowhere near done using them. Hope this helps.

I just bought a pot of MAC pigment in Melon and I love it! I use it for eyeshadow, blush and anywhere else I may need a little highlight (cleveage) But lalalauren is right, it is very very concentrated so use sparingly. The pots that you can purchase will last you until the end of time so buy a color that you can use for as many different things as possible :)
