I've been looking for a mineral makeup collection that would suit my skintone and I haven't had any luck. No mineral makeup line really offers much to dark-skinned women, at least none that I've seen. But I stumbled on a company today that might just have what I need! http://valanaminerals.com/ The line offers so many shades I've got to find one for me here right? So I'm ordering a sample kit and I'll post a review when it arrives! I'm so excited, I think this might really be it !!!

Thanks for the tip! I've ordered samples from Crush Groove too--the many options were so encouraging, and the extra goodies look yummy, plus...:yep: free shipping for December!

This looks like a really good product and the color selection is off the chain! I ordered a lot of samples from crush grooves but I didn't like it at all. i think their color selection is limited and the foundation turned very orange after a few hours.

Yes, they do :yep: Just choose 6 shades and they'll send you the sample kit for $12 (about $17 w/ s&h). I've ordered samples from Crush Groove too so we'll see how well I like each. I hope I won't have the orange thing happen. I'll be sure to write up a review when they get here!

Alima (www.alimacosmetics.com) is another choice out there. It is not mica free but bismuth oxycholride free which is the cause of the breakouts for a lot of women using mineral makeup(including me). I posted twice to see is anyone had used it before but I bought the samples after e-mailing their makeup artist for suggestions. I just told her the shade I used in MAC and BE and she e-mailed me back with her recommendations. The samples are 1.00 to 1.50 apiece. She has 42 shades in her satin matte foundation grouped as : neutral, olive, beige(new),ebony, bronze, cool, warm. It can be apply dry(and not have to be buffed into the skin like BE,or with a water misted brush for a more airbrushed finish. It can be mixed with moisturizer to make a tinted moisturizer. There is no shine like the disco ball look of BE. She has blushes and eyeshadows:matte and illuminating, brow powder, bronzer, and powder eyeliner. They can even mix a combo of foundation shades if you mixed up one that you like. Alima is also inexpensive, has great customer service, and the shipping is fast. I placed my order today after hitting my exact foundation match today(beige 6) and I am sold.
