I don't know if any of you ladies have experienced this, but I was taking MSM powder religiously for about a good 3 months. In that three months, my knee joints stopped aching, I could actually remember more vivid dreams, my hair grew a little more, but my SKIN suffered!!

I started getting pimples, and bumps all over my face. Dark spots, mini bumps, you name it! I was starting to wonder if I didn't have some type of allergic reaction to the lotion I was using. :perplexed: No amount of drinking water helped either. :nono:

Then, one day I just stopped taking MSM. Not intentionally (mind you), but I just kept forgetting to take it. And guess what?? I noticed that my face and skin cleared UP!!

My skin now looks sooo smooth. It's back to being nice and smooth again. :) All I do is rinse with water, leave olive oil on my face for about 5-10 min, and then rinse/towel blot with very warm water, and my skin is looking sooo smooth and YOUNG these days! :D

I'm not trying to knock anyone who feels tha MSM does wonders for them, I'm just bringing out that I think maybe I was doing TOO much. I already take GNC hair skin nails, plus women's one-a-day, AND the MSM...I think my body was just saying: "Enough is enough!"

Maybe taking TOO many supplements isn't good?? I think my skin is liking the less is more mentality. Every once in a while I"ll use proactive to clear up the dark spots left on my face due to the pimples I was getting w/MSM.

I did some Googling on MSM earlier this year, and breakouts is a known side effect of MSM. I was reading a case of a guy who was taking a high dose of MSM and he was getting bumps all over his body. People attributed to the toxins making their way out of the body.

That happened to me too. That and biotin.

Do you guys still take MSM?

Do people just deal with the bumps and move on? Or, do they eventually stop taking it? Do the bumps EVER stop coming?? I mean...I don't think I could live with bumps like that all over my face. That's the first thing people see!

I was taking about a teaspoon or two a day.

I didn't think I was taking that much, but maybe it was a lot?

All I know is that I'm loving my skin now, and I don't have those annoying white head bumps on my nose anymore. YUCK! :barf:
