Ladies with LOTS of makeup....help!

Ok today I was organizing my makeup and in between shaking my head and chastising myself ,I decided i need a plan to use all my colors! This is a huge problem ! ( I know it's not life or death but YKWIM!) I mean I LOVE every shade I have but I know damn well the majority of it is never going to get used if I don't come up with some type of system and my junky ways don't help it either . Hell if I could stop buying and making it I could get through some of it!

So what are you all doing? Lol I mena do I need to just plan it the night before or what? Remember back in the day when you "laid" your clothes out for school the next day! ( don't act like it was just me!)

You're on to something with the laying out clothes comparison. In the past I used to plan out my make-up with my outfit the night before. You could try pulling out the colors you don't use as much and try to pair them with complimentary outfits?

I do the same thing, I plan what makeup I am going to wear even if its a casual day!

I am in the same boat I have so much makeup and I want to get more.. I just embrace it!!!

this is an idea that I WILL have to implement.... either I am not utilizing all my make-up, or wearing same thind daily, lol....

This is what I do . . . kind of. I always end up going back to my same favorite staples that look good with everything. I need to start using all the other crap I've bought!

Ok I'm here with my 2 day update!( Ha! Ha!) ok what I did was seperate everthing and I managed to get it all seperated in groups. So I am going to end up doing the whole lay out the makeup thing. All the shades I use for the day I'm putting them into a makeup bag and I can't dig into it for ANYTHING for at LEAST two weeks! The only exception I'm going to give myself is mascara and eyeliner. Even that I want to keep to a min.

I started using the colors I don't typically use recently.

One thing you can do is blend different colors to get a new color or finish.
Also, I don't like wearing colors that are the same as my top, I choose complimentary colors.
Instead of putting eyeshadow on my whole lid, I use a light highlighter as my shadow and use eyeshadow as my eyeliner with an angled brush. For more pop, I wet the brush a little. This make the pigment more dense.
I visit lots and lots of youtube makup tutorials to give me more ideas!
Take advantage of the after hours and the weekends. You can be more creative with your look!

this is exactly what I do. I have enough make up to fill 2 train cases, and its the only way to get me using everything. Even then some things get forgotten.
