Please include, in order, what you do daily to your face (washing/exfoliating/toning/moisturizing/etc) and what products you are using!

TIA! :drunk:

ZZ, thanks to you and Patient1 I don't want to cry every morning when I look in the mirror. I've been using Nature's Cure for about a week and a half now and my face looks 100% better. I wash my face twice a day with Dove's Exfoliator Pads, then I apply Oil of Olay Moisturizer and NC Acne Cream. My breakouts are almost nonexistent, now I need to work on the scarring. God bless you both!

Since it is winter, I'm using a milder cleanser than I would in the summer...

Cleanser: Beauty Without Cruelty Facial Cleanser Herbal Cream for normal to dry skin...

Then I put a serum...

either Hyaluronic Acid Serum by Reviva Labs
or
Eminence Organic Skin Care Stone Crop Serum

Then I use
Eminence Organics Stone Crop Facial Moisturizer

When I need it, I use baking soda as a scrub!

Simple!

I have that Stone Crop line on my list of products to try. I remember you posting about the moisturizer a while ago. What benefits do you see from using the EO products?

What benefits do you see from using the EO products? That Stone Crop Moisturizer has a GREAT texture, unlike any other moisturizer I have tried. I'm acne prone, but this cream, even in the summer does NOT clog my pores. It seals moisture and hydrates. I love this. I believe the Stone Crop is good for women of color because it promotes even skin tone.

Morning: wash face w/ AcneFree Purifying Cleanser
Apply toner: ACV mixture or AcneFree Toner
Sunscreen: AcneFree Daily Moisturizer w/ SPF 15
*Depending on how dry the area around my nose is, I will apply Vitamin E oil

Night: wash face w/ AHA Moisturizing Cleanser
Apply AHA souffle
Follow up with AHA moisturizer
*Again, I may or not apply Vitamin E oil (my nose gets really dry around the fall and winter time and starts peeling)

ETA: I do a facial scrub or masque once a week using Queen Helene's products or St. Ives AH Masque

2-3 times daily; in the morning, after the gym and before bed.

Wash with Oxy acne wash, clean off with a hot towel

Scrub with Equate exfoliating scrub, remove with hot towel

Apply Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner

Apply Equate Acne Cream

Follow with Cetaphyl (sp?) lotion

The same before bed, except I dont use the scrub before bed.

I follow the Baumann regimen for OSPTs (from the book "Skin Type Solutions")...Haven't seen a pimple since I bought the book, I saved so much $$, and I finally am on my way to completely even-toned skin

(Basically OSPT means that I have combination skin, slightly oily, very sensitive.)

AM:
Neutrogena Oil-free Acne Wash
Skineffects by Dr. Dover Advanced Brightening Complex (for dark spots)
Neutrogena On-the-spot Acne Treatment (only if I breakout, but I haven't in weeks/months!! :D)
Ponds Age DefEye Eye Cream
Ambi Even & Clear Moisturizer (SPF 30, I think)

PM:
Makeup Remover Towellette (for mascara, etc)
Neutrogena Oil-free Acne Wash
Skineffects by Dr. Dover Advanced Brightening Complex (for dark spots)
Ponds Age DefEye Eye Cream
Neutrogena Combination Skin Moisturizer (only when skin feels dry/tight)

That's it. No scrubs, no masks, etc. :)

For the past two weeks I have been doing the following and I have seen a tremendous improvement in my acne prone skin:

AM-
Mix baking soda and lemon juice
Dry face with a paper towel
Tone with lemon juice or witchazel (place on a cotton ball and wipe face)
Apply Aloe Vera Gel

PM-
Same as above except I smear on Neutrogena On the Spot (BP-2.5%) and let it dry before applying the aloe vera gel.

I got this idea from several women on our hairboard and for the first time in over a decade, I don't have cystic acne along my chin and jawline.

I wish I knew this back when I had this condition...

I wish I knew this back when I had this condition...

Vev, I wish I had tried it back when the other LHCF members kept raving about it, instead of wasting my money on expensive masks and potions that weren't helping me. I am just glad that the problem is finally under control now!

I just started a regime of:

A.M. wash with Emani Naturally Fair Pearls soap followed by Fair & Lovely Multivitamin

P.M. wash again with ENFP soap followed by using Vicco Turmeric cream

As you can see, I like to keep it as simple as possible. Sometimes less is best!
