Should I get either of these for my smokey eye?

Is there a cheaper quad out there or should I just invest... I don't have these colors in my collection...

I prefer the colors in the Laura Mercier quad to the Mac. I say go for it especially if you don't have those colors. I am really liking blues for this season. You could try Loreal HYIP for similiar shades but I prefer Mac, Nars, Laura Mercier etc. for quality.

I like both of them, but NYX and Loreal HIP has similiar colors to give that same smokey eye if you want to cheaper but still get good effects.

This is what i was going to suggest as well. I am sure you can find appropriate colors at your local walgreens/target etc, if you don't want to make a big investment.

I like the LM better. But I have a similar quad eye shadow thing with those colors and it's by Milani. I bought it out of Walgreens for a few bucks. Milani eye shadows are comparable to Mac.

What brand is NYX?

NYX is a brand. You can usually find it at drugstores and BSS's.

ITA with milani eyeshadows. Very pigmented and good price
