Alright....ladies, I bet we all have at least 2-5 lbs of holiday eating to lose ? On my walk this morning, I was playing with ideas/ strategies to lose more over the Xmas holiday , by limiting my food intake 4/5 days of the week...to compensate for office party fare, and those extra goodies that are floating around over drinks / dinners w/ family. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I really don't want to exercise anymore than I'm presently doing, as it lowers my immune system which brings on any cold or sickness I happen to come in contact with.... http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Any ideas ? What are you guys doing to stave off the pounds this season ? http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

JFemme, i've actually been eating and enjoying holiday food without over stuffing myself. i say enjoy moderately. i think you'll be fine as long as you continue to workout throughout the holdays. after all, Tday & Christmas are only once a year. To help with my immune system, i stock up on herbs such as nettle, burdock & marjorum to make tea and drink them constantly. vit c, scotts emulsion to help with congestion, and i purchase 100% plant based oils from young living essentials to rub on my chest and soles of my feet after bathing. last winter i only experienced sniffles, but never caught a cold.

Ebony, that's great advice , girl.. I just started taking New Chapter vitamins , which include those herbs, as well as a tea I consume daily. I've been tempted a few times to purchase young living essential oils, I've read that they are the best around. My grandmother used to rub some type of oil mixture ( which I hated ) on my chest / feet , especially during the winter months. So many things she exposed me to ( that I hated ) I am now coming to understand , appreciate, in addition to incorporating into my health regimen. She would be proud of me... http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
