Yes it can, if that's where you normally gain weight. For example, I 'm a hippy girl, so when I gain weight, that's where I gain it first. And it's also where I lose it first. Cardio is good for overall weight/fat loss. Spot reducing is kinda hard though. Yougenerally won't lose weight in just one area of your body. I say get yourself to a comfortable size and then tone the areas you would like with weights and resistance exercise. hth

Cardio won't necessarily flatten your stomach...what it does, like Katie said, is trim overall body fat. Now if you have fat on your stomach that's preventing it from having that "flattened" appearance, then cardio might do the trick for you.

Try 30-40mins of cardio exercise (u don't have to go at high intensity for the entire lenght of time).

I am pretty slim and am not trying to lose weight.I am doing cardio to be healthy.I just want my stomach to get flat.Most people think I am stick out my stomach purposely since they can't believe a person my size has such a huge stomach http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
