View Full Version : How do you keep your shirts tucked in?

I am having a hard time keeping my cotton shirts tucked into my business pants. Tucking them into my pantyhose doesn't seem to work because I'm always afraid the waistband will show when I sit down. I looked on the internet and there are a couple of solutions for men who have to wear uniforms - one is a rubber strip worn under the pants, which seems like it might work, but some of the review suggested that the rubber had an odor. The other is something called shirt stays, which attach to socks and won't work for me because I wear pantyhose. There's a device for babies which is like a mini suspender-thingy to make all of their shirts fit like onesies. That seems like it might work. I wonder if there is anything out like that out there for women?

The shirts you are buying are probably very short.

I used to have this problem but I started buying shirts/blouses like this: http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=3F-213630&page=1&cgname=OSCLOBLOVIL&rfnbr=3204
They are called body suits..it's a regular shirt/blouse but it has the 'bodysuit' attachment...like an attached panty at the bottom of the shirt. Victorias Secret has a lot of them but you can find them in other nicer department stores too. Also, if you don't want to buy those (though I highly recommend them) you can tuck your shirt into your pantyhose (if you wear them) or your Spanx (I wear these). Either way..you get a nice smooth look and your shirt will stay in.

Thanks Energee...I will probably try one or two of those bodysuits...I am concerned about the fit though because I have a long torso- don't want it to pull or create any lines!!!
I was also thinking about trying the shirt stays - instead of hooking them to socks, hooking two hooks to the front of my shirt and passing the third through my legs to hook onto the back of the shirt...I figure if they are long enough to stretch to hold up socks they won't give me a wedgie !
