Hey ladies. Do any of you know what I can do to help increase my energy level? Lately,I have been very sluggish and sleepy feeling as it get later in the day (NO, I AM NOT PREGNANT!!! http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif) I do know that I have been slacking on going to the gym like I use to. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif But, I wouldn't think it would have this much effect. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch! Oh, yeah I do take my vitamins.

Do you think it's your thyroid that could possibly be giving you problems? Have you noticed any other changes? I hate to probe, but I learned the hard way. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
You may want to have your doctor check your iron levels also for anemia. Before I found out I was anemic, I was very tired and sluggish. My doctor recommended iron supplements and the tiredness went away quickly when I started taking them.

I agree , check with your doctor, first thing. I too, become sluggish over the winter months, I think its probably a combination of factors, such as, a lack of sunshine , eating heavier foods etc.. I exercise frequently to help me stay clear of the doldrums(sleep) as well as eat my heaviest meal early in the day, and NO food after 7 PM.
http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifA few weeks back I began using a " green food supplement" that gives me 'way' tooo much energy. I had to cut it back to three days a week , but anyhow, it works quickly.

I have been feeling the same way. It's like all I want to do is sleep. I thought it was because I wasn't drinking enough water...I started drinking more and I still feel this way..

Yes, sometimes the changing of the seasons mess you up emotionally. Also, what in the world are you eating? Think about your diet and other stuff you're putting in your body too.

When I eat carbs it makes me really, really tired. So when I have to be focused and awake, I avoid them. Especially simple carbs.

Karezone, we seem to have so much in common (dogs http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif, weight and now ... ******itis/carbo induced sleep). Do you know I starve myself when I have exams or need to do serious mental work so as to stay awake and get much done?
