a low-fat, but delicious http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif salad dressing. I really like "ranch", but I know that it's soooo full of fat! http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
So, any suggestions would be appreciated. I am also willing to try a home-made salad dressing. Thanks in advance.

There is a company called Walden Farms that sells fat free, calorie free, sugar/carb free dressings. The ones I've tried were very good.

if you like acidic dressings then i would say make your own vinigrette (sp? oh well).
i make mine with
red wine vinegar
lemon juice
a little olive oil (like a tbsp. i like mine bitter)
garlic powder
salt and pepper
this is really good to ME. lol other people look at me like im crazy bc it just looks like vinegar. but i like it.

i like the light done right 3 cheese ranch..it's very good.
I make my own "ranch" style dressing. I buy Nayonaisse - tastes very much like mayonaisse but it's made with silken tofu and it's very delicious. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif It's good by itself but I like to add garlic (like garlic powder)to it and onion, esp. green onions chopped up. This gives it a ranch dressing taste. You can also experiment with other herbs and spices. The Nayonaisse is very low in fat, 3-4 grams, but I always add a good fat to my salad along with it, like flaxseed oil.
And it's vegan. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif

I make my own balsamic vinaigrette with 1 sprig fresh oregano, 1 sprig fresh thyme, 2/3 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper to taste... if you can make it the day before or at least let it sit 30 minutes and it is soooo good
