Since I'm assuming that in one way, shape or form most of the ladies on this board are women of color (not necessarily black women, but we've all got SOME melanin)... I want to know, how many of us have adopted a sunscreen routine?

Yes I use and SPF 30 sunscreen everyday. I have been doing this for about 5-6 years now.

All day everyday. I reapply twice a day. Winter, summer, spring and fall
Our skin gives us an intristic spf of around a 13. That doesn't mean we can't and won't burn and get cancer.
UVB rays burn and UVA rays age your skin. I don't burn easily but everytime I go into the sun I am still getting exposed to UVA rays. I might not see the damage now but over time it will show. UVA rays are also very taxing on a spf product...that is why it is important to wear PHOTOSTABLE sunscreen products. With out photostability, your protection is only good for a couple of hours when you are going in and out of a building and only good for 2-3 hours in full sun. This is why you have to reapply sunscreen in order to get all of the benefits regardless of the spf number; whether you wear 25, 30, 40, 50; reapply.
I wear a body lotion that has spf in in and I put an extra coat on my arms, neck and chest, hands, and any other exposed skin after I have been out of the house for 3-4 hours. Really concentrate on the left side of your body, since as you drive, the glass magnifies the uva rays on that side of your body. That is why you see people with more age spots on their left side of their face, hands and arms.

Everyday for the last 10 years. At first it was only SPF 15 now I use 25.
