I have ordered 3 samples of their mineral powder - 3 because I wasn't sure which one would match my complexion - and so far so good, 5 months later. (Yep, still using the sample :look: , although I have to say I don't need powder much now that I'm using Xterra sunblock instead of Arbonne sunscreen which would leave my face very shiny, so that might explain why I haven't ran out.)
You can get samples from http://skin-etc.com/jairbasa.html

Love it, it matches my skin exactly and is very light, and works well with my acne prone skin. But if you're skin is oily, you'l need to constantly blot or use something for the oil, it gets slick real quick!

Ah thanks for the raves ladies.
I have found a beauty salon not too far from me that sells the whole range of colours. I have made an appointment on Friday and they will colour match for me before i buy.
I can't wait - i think this is what i've been waiting for!

I've used jane. My skin has a lot of yellow and Jane had a little too much beige/pink in it for me. But my skin didn't freakout from using it.

I just bought the primer and loose powder foundation.
I really like it as my face feels clean whilst wearing it.
Sacreca, i think you may be right about the colouring but in my experience (very limited) with foundations its the best match i've found so far.
What brand are you using?

Hi -
Is anyone still using this? What is your experience? Do you recommend this brand?
Obviously this has been discussed before, but in keeping with my resolution to take better care of me, I am buying makeup AND I intend to wear it. I've sampled a few brands - Mary Kay, Bare Escentuals, Sheer Coverage, Iman - and am having trouble finding a good shade to match my skin. I end up with a mask look because the colors almost match no matter how much I blend. At the BE store, the lady mixed shades to create a color, but as I am lazy about wearing makeup in the first place, I know I won't do that.
However, Jane Iredale's Maple is the perfect color. I sampled the pressed power and the liquid mineral (feels marvelous). The great thing is my skin did not break out which happened with some of the others, it feels light, and covers well without looking mask-y.
Opinions?

Answered you in the other thread. Like it. Still using it whenever I use my shiny sunscreen. In case you missed the report by Paula Begoun, she says Jane Iredale was the one line that offers convincing mineral shades for women of color.

That is a great article and significant information for making a choice. It would seem that there are a limited number of shades for women of color in all but three of the major lines. The information about the "natural" ingredients is something every woman should now.
