I'm 32 but would like to look like I'm in my late 20's. I'm working out to lose some of this weight...but does anyone have any tips. I'm open to some make up looks or even some type of hairstyle. I'm so out of the loop. My most recent pic is my profile picture. In that picture I am wearing a black eyeliner, Mac lipliner...chestnut I think and the ever famous clear lipgloss. I am so in a rut. Help.:spinning:

I think you look fine! But I'm in the same boat myself. People tell me that I look young, but I don't think so, at least not lately...especially in pictures :nono: Anywho, I watch this show called 10 years younger and take note of the stuff they do. Here's a link for the web site.
http://tlc.discovery.com/guides/fashion/10-years-younger/10-years-younger.html
In a nutshell, here's a rundown of what they do:
1) fix and/or whiten teeth (I must say that nothing says young like a set of pearly whites )
2) go to a dermatologist to correct any skin issues
3) do something fun, relaxing or whatever for the person. The idea is for the person to take time out for themselves and/or to make them feel better about themselves.
4) new hairdo--this can be a style, cut, color or all of the above.
5) new make-up--this also includes brows...this can be new colors, textures, or new application methods.
6a) new outift (or you can find a new way to wear clothes that you already have). If you buy a new outfit, try on styles that you wouldn't usually wear. Also, wear clothes that FLATTER your figure!! That is very important.
6b) accessorize - hoop earrings, earring and neclace sets, etc can do wonders for an outfit.
I must say that I've been doing some of the above and I'm starting to look and feel much better. Now if only I can stick with excercising
I'll come back if I can think of anything else.

You look fine to me:yep:. I'm 37 and people tell me that I look much younger than my age all of the time. In fact, if I am out with our older son people assume that I'm his sister and someone even thought I was his girlfriend once:blush:. Our oldest son is 14 and very tall...lol. Depending on what I am wearing people think I am very young especially if I'm just in workout clothing or something. I have women my age all of the time refer to me as 'baby' and they say it in a way that makes me think they think they are speaking to someone much younger. When they find out I am their age they look surprised. Sometimes it's annoying and other times I'm fine with it...lol.
In my family I think it's just genetic. However, I also have never smoked and I rarely drink---I think I may drink twice a year---if that on special occassions only. I have worked out most of my life. I don't stress out. I'm very calm and easygoing by nature most of the time anyway...don't get me fired up though...lol. I have also always eaten a pretty healthy diet. I keep my weight pretty much in check. Though I fight w/10-15 pounds sometimes...lol. I have also never worn a lot of makeup (my mother always swore that liquid foundations age people faster so I never wore it). I'm basically a very happy person. I also definitely treat myself like a woman--I'm spoiled...lol and I love to pamper myself (facials and other spa treatments, best skin care products, hair products...etc). I think all of these may contribute to looking and feeling younger but I truly believe genetics play a huge role as well. HTH

I'm 32 and ppl frequently think I'm in my early 20's. I actually had a bouncer tell me my ID was fake and NOT let me in the club.
Anyway, it's definitely not genetics for me. I think it's because I do my best to keep up w/ figure flattering trends. I also make sure my skin is clear and firm.

Now you all got me wondering...how old do I look. I thought I could at least pass for 29...come on now, be honest. I can take the brutal truth...
People tell me I look younger than my age, but I guess one is it's own worse critic. Plus, my birthday is on Friday, so maybe I got some head games going on...But, umm, I do want to look younger.:spinning:

Aww... Blue, I can't tell how old you look (I am never good at that anyway so I never try) but you don't look old so stop being hard on yourself. Notice all the young uns above think happy thoughts and keep worry at bay and that helps. So just eat well, avoid the sun unless your skin's protected, don't smoke, drink lots of water, don't stress...and believe you're whatever age you feel you are inside. It'll soon show on your face.

I really can't tell how old you look from your photo to be honest. You can't stop your eyesight from aging...that's for sure...lol. However, I can see well enough to see that you certainly don't look old by any means though. I've seen many women in their early 30's--even 20's that look like they are 40 or 50...you are not in that category at all. I do think you may just be a little paranoid with the approaching birthday. As for me, I don't worry about such things to begin with. I just live and live happily. I think that's the key.
I also forgot to mention SUNSCREEN! I don't go anywhere without it. I keep bottles of it everywhere. I never forget to put it on my face. I've been wearing it since I was a teenager (thanks to my mother and older sister) and I believe it definitely helps...along with good living!

I have stepped into this room at the right time. Blue... I am going through a similar thing. I turned 31 this summer. I have never been much of a make up person and recently I have had this overwhelming urge to get into wearing it. So I've been experimenting with eyeshadow and concealers. They have given me a new look.. so that I don't feel as though I look dull.

Energee- I think I will agree with you on the paranoia part. Sometimes, we all get anxious about certain situations. I'm trying to stay pretty today, so I won't worry about looking younger. (Well, at least for a few minutes:grin:)

Your new avatar picture looks beautiful! Yep, keep 'trying to stay pretty' everyday and don't worry. As long as you are taking care of yourself, keeping yourself up and keep a smile on your face you will look and feel young:yep:.

Without seeing how you are dressed in the pic, my guess would be about 27. I am not trying to flatter you, I am being honest.

I've been buying all kinds of makeup this summer. My mind is playing games on me....
