foundation that match our complexation. I need something that is not too heavy or fake looking but I can't afford the higher brands.
TIA

I've never used it, but hear great reviews about Queen Latifah's collection with Cover Girl. Also, check Ulta and Target for Iman - nice color range and comes in oil-free if you need it.

I might try The Queen collection. I used to use Iman I don't remember why I stopped actually. Oh I remember that is when it was sold in department stores and JC Penney stopped selling it. I may have to revisit it.

I second the Covergirl. They have a good range of shades now for our skin.

Cover Girl works BEST for me.
I'm using Soft Honey right now, and in the winter I usually go one-two shades lighter.
I have a friend that wears Soft Sable and it matches her skin SO WELL it's unbelievable.
This is pretty much the only makeup that matches me and it's $7.99 and they often have buy 1 get 1 sales at CVS and Walgreens.

The one I use is the True match.
I may stalk the Iman at Target tonight.

The Cover Girl Tru Match works pretty good. I tried it out when it first came out 3 years ago. I used the toasted almond. I think that's what color it was. It was the one next to the darkest shade. The Soft Sable was a little dark on me. The only problem I had with the Covergirl was that it showed up white in pictures. But that was the original formula I'm not sure about the Tru Match.
I've never tried the IMAN stuff even though I looked at it in Target before. For a few more dollars I could get me some MAC so I passed on it.

UPDATE:
I went by target this week and I got the Iman Luxury Pressed powder in Clay Medium Dark. Oh.My.Goodness! My face looked flawless and not overly made up. It covered the last ravages of my bad acne flare ups that have since been under control. I love this stuff. Now I have to find it at another store cause this was the last one and I have to stock up! 5 stars!!!! (the color is below)

ETA: The only thing that I didn't like is that it rubbed off pretty easily. But not completely off. I had on a white blouse yesterday.

Not all drug stores carry the line, but I really like Black Opal's concealer foundation stick. Applying with a damp sponge gives me a sheer natural coverage.

I usually follow it with a pressed powder. Right now I'm using MAC's blot pressed powder, but for over-the-counter, I've been pleased with Queen Latifah's Cover Girl line.

Honestly, I know you don't want to hear it but I would still go to the department store and buy the foundation/pressed powder. You can usually get a good foundation or pressed powder from $17-$25. You can also ask for samples (Prescriptives and Mac does this).
The only reason I say go to the department store is because even though it may cost you a little more upfront, its way cheaper than going back and forth to the drugstore (gas/time) and buying things $6 and up a pop that you can't try before you buy. Some lines at the drugstore can easily cost $10 and it doesn't match.
At least at the department store you can try before you buy and take it back if you don't want it.
I have a lot of yellow undertones in my skin so it's very difficult for me to find makeup that matches my complexion.

I agree. Just go ahead and go to the department store.

That would be a great idea if I didn't have to drive 45 minutes (gas) for MAC. Plus MAC is too heavy for me. I don't know about Prescriptive will look into that. Plus I know about Iman used it before so I think I will go with that.
But that for the suggestion.

Yes! Tru Match or Tru Blend... Something like that.
BTW... drugstores let you return makeup w/receipt. It just gets thrown out (I've seen some girls that work at the CVS keep it for themselves though  )

MAC and prescriptives are not the only department store brands. there are soooo many different brands you can try.
Even though I love my Estee Lauder Double Wear, and Clinique, I have found some pretty good DS brands.
Revlon Color Stay, Maybeline Whipped foundation in the little glass jar, Iman, and a very slept on Milani. Right now I have Perscriptives, Iman, and Miliani in my purse. I tend to go for the Iman or Miliani first.:yep:

My favorite drugstore brand for foundation right now the cover girl queen collection. I use the powder foundation.
To make sure that I don't get that heavy look I apply foundation primer first and use a big fluffy powder brush to buff it into my skin. It only take a little bit and I look relaxed and fresh.
