Kidney Infections

I have already asked one person thier experience with recovery time. I started to take the meds Friday past (8/17) Antibotics and pain meds. How long does it take for you to start to feel some relief.

The person I asked said it took here 3-4 days before you felt any relief. All I know is it feels like there is not relief in my back hurts all the time.

Anyone else have a Kidney infection and how long before you felt some relief?

Well, they gave me codeine, so I felt relief that first day, BUT it took about 4 or 5 days before I stopped feeling that terrible pain when a dose wore off.

I'm sorry you have one. That was the worst pain I've ever had EVER. I couldn't even sleep.

i can't sleep either...bending over hurts too...well hope i get some relief soon.

I just got over one last week and I went into the ER and got an IV of Morphine and the strongest antibiotic possible. I was prescribed Percocet but I don't like those types of pain medications because they make me sick to my stomach. Anyway, Tylenol Extra Strength helped with the pain and the fevers. I got sick on Sunday and the pain was gone by Wednesday after a night in the hospital with the IV.

These infections are very severe and very serious...I had no idea. I was misdiagnosed as having a ruptured ovarian cyst after they suspected it was my appendix. I didn't get proper treatment at the onset and became so ill. I was having like 4 or 5 fevers a day. The worst experience in my life.
