I recently went to Macy's and purchased Fashion Fair coemetics. I bought three products. A foundation (I like), a moisturizer (Have not tried yet) and the skin bleaching creme /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The Vantex Skin Bleaching Creme made me break out into a horrible rash! Do yall think I can return this and get a refund or credit?

Well, you may be able to. At least give a try to find out.

You should be able to return it. Usually department store brands have some sort of return policy. I returned products from Clinique and Prescriptives in the past.

You can return it. I returned mine over the summer.

Oh BronxDiva did you return the same product I am referring too or another cosmetic that you used? Also if I may ask how come you returned it? And do they give you money back or credit? I bought my cosemetics at the Fasion Fair counter at Macy's with a credit card. Thanks again for letting me know! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the info, Neeki!
Also did they give you a refund, credit, or exchange?

Dido111,
They were returns, but since Clinique and Prescriptives are both Estee Lauder companies, they probably have the same return policy.

I have really been on a rude rampage lately but I can't seem to stop.
I am very offended by fashion fair in london (Selfridges). I detest the way their counter looks so cheap in comparison to mac, bobbi brown, clinique and ester lauder.
I hate the packaging. I hate the staff on the counter and needless to say I have never bought a fashion fair product. Further to that, I DID complain about it and they wrote back saying that as fashion fair is targeted to black women, it makes a point to employ staff who are knowledgable about the product.
I was taken back here because I wasn't complaining about black staff, I was complaining about lazy uninterested staff. /forums/images/graemlins/swearing.gif Secondly, did someone beat the black off me that I went to fashion fair as a white woman? /forums/images/graemlins/swearing.gif /forums/images/graemlins/swearing.gif /forums/images/graemlins/swearing.gif
I do hate this company and I know my input can't be taken as criticism because I have nothing good to say about it which makes me biased.

londongirl 3,
i say the same thing. Also, the pigment in the products makes my skin ashy. I was not impressed by the samples i got, nor am i impressed by the ads in ebony - the model's faces are darker than their bodies!
hmmm mmmm mmm mmm... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif 'orrible, 'orrible stuff

I have tried Fashion Fair and hated it. The foundation had a reddish undertone that was all wrong for my skin and the fragrances in the products are so strong and made my skin break out.

Hey chollis718
No problem. I do though have sesnsitive skin. So if you also have sensative skin I would advise you not to use the vantex.(I bought mine and the GA mall on sunrise. I see your from around the way. I am in Laurelton 718).
I also bought foundation that now gives me a organgish looking tone. So I had to buy some drug store foundation to put over it and it doesn't look half bad. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gifoo: I would not buy their product again though. I will try the MAC since so many people have made wonderful comments about it.
Later.

Thank God I know about Vantex now, I was about to buy it at some point.
Yeah Fashion Fair can suck, they always have these lazy *** staff, but they have nice lipstick and the best lipliner ever, so... I guess I'll keep buying there!!
But avoid their skincare like plague.
