just have a few questions...when I had my abby...my rib cage spread...causing me to be wider on top...if i work on my wiast and loose weight all over will my top loose some of this widdness or I doomer to be a "wide load" til I die?
Also if I do cruches will it lift the little bit of tail I do have? How can I get a big ole botty without surgery???? I want a big booty and small waist...

LOL I think it's genetics. But you should be able to firm, left and tighten what you have. Squats, stair stepping and just squeezing your cheeks should help. (You know that old exercise where you lie on your back and squeeze your butt and it looks like you're humping the air? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )
And people with big butts and small waists have a hard time finding clothes that fit right. J Lo said that why she started making her own!

Ok I guess I will try this then. I currently do squats 5 nights a week. I get compliment son my butt..people tell me I have one but I do not see it. so I guess I will just keep doing what I am doing and start humping the air and doing stair steps. my waist is getting smaller if I get my but right...watch out world. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Tonya,
You can have my big ole' booty and small waist. I tell you it's huge and I'm always trying to hide it. One day I told one of my male friends how when I'm out in a mall or something and I see someone I know that I don't want to talk to that I turn around so they won't recognize me. His response was how could someone not recognize me and my big ole' booty. The other day another male friend commented on a pair a jeans I wore he liked very much that I wore Christmas 2001???? Now come on !!!!The only jeans I can wear that are cut to my body shape and really accentuate it are DKNY jeans. It's funny, then again it's not so funny because my booty is notorious it's like my trademark.

I know legs71...tel your secret. my best friend has a big ole booty and small waist and I think it is cute. My play brother told me that my butt is big at the bottm and flat at the top....I was so hurt. If I could just lift what I have I would be ok. I am gonna keep trying my squats unless leg71 can reveal her se /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gifcret!!

My B.O.B (Big Ole Booty) is extremely genetic...you should see my momma's. My sister has a flat ole booty. Last year I was on a workout kick and I joined the gym to lose a couple of pounds and mainly tone up. I was losing weight, but everyone commented on how my booty appeared to be getting bigger. I'm a size 7/8, 5'10 but all my weight is in my booty, thighs and my breasts(36c). If you want some or all of it I will gladly overnight it to you.

I ahve noticed that once I started working out I am getting more shape. I was a 34a before the baby now I ma a 34c...I am excited. I do nto see myself as a 34c I still look like an A cup to myself. Well my mom is small but dad's size is not...they are bootylicious. I belive if I work at it I will be staright because since I had my son I have gained alot of thickness. I am 5'10 and 165 lbs...before I was 145/150 straight up and down. I think my main thing is sculpting my biody now.
When i was sexually active....my butt spread and got noticably bigger but since I have chilled out in that department it is not as big. I still have more than I have ever had but I still do nto have a ghetto booty. There are soem jeans thjat compliment my hinds parts well. they are just about ANY jeans out of express they fit me really cute just super loose in the waist and the gap's lOng and Leans...I love these jeans they fit the best...All of u tall small ladies whom are looking to add curves u should swing by the Gap to try these out!!!
Any more suggestions???

I know someone mentioned they wanted to lift what they have. Has anyone tried Tae-bo abs and glutes. I just ordered it off of amazon.com and I have heard great things about it. I sort of have a small waist and a big butt (26 inch waist and 41 inch hips, I wear a size 7/8 in pants and have to wear small to xsmall shirts) but I do want to lose extra fat and replace it with muscle. All of people that I know with this tape have seem great results in tightening the abs and rounding and lifting the glutes. It might be worth a try. There is also a Taebo ultimate buns tape.
I have taebo abs & glutes. I actually forgot about it until you just mentioned it. I might have to break it out and blow the dust of that bad boy! lol... it's a good tape, very challenging

good exercises for a rounder booty:
if you are a member in a gym go and find the stairmaster (if they have one) it's the machine where you just take steps like regular steps in a house.
now get on the machine and don't take every but EVERY OTHER step. that should do something.
another one is:
take a regular step (from step aearobics) and put on the highest level. now take some weights (i take the 15-20 pounds) one in each hand. stand a good big step away from the step and now do lunges forward. always place your foot on the step. start with your right leg then left then right and so on. do like 10 or 12 with each leg.
these two are my favorite ones but there are so many. my booty is very round but i wish it was a little wider, mayber after i had babies /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Nay I am gonna try this. I have been doing lunges with my squats but i was not using my stair stepper. I may just have to resort to stair stepping on it as well because with a toddler and and nursing school I do nto have time for the gym. I also started the FIRM Tough tape 2 last nigth and it used alot of squats and lunges too. I am very excited.
Yes LEGS express has great low rise jeans u just have to find which one workes best fro you and the Gap long and Lean if u are tall like I also work great...they are low rise as well and they fit VERY nice....I think my butt has gotten bigger since i had my baby....well I know it has...now I just have to firm and lift it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

BUMP ing for AmilLion
all this talk about boot-tay's made me pull up this Post!
Have any of you tried running (build's muscle in legs and behind)in addition to all the suggestions in the posts. Also there is a weight machine that targets the boot-tay. You are on your knees and lift your leg up behind you (donkey kick) with weight. This will help and I suggest DON'T ask too hard you may get just want you want and SOME MORE!!! LOL

naynay,
yes i do both. i run on the treadmill. sometimes in intervalls. for example run for one minute-- and i mean RUN almost as fast as the treadmill goes. then rest for a minute. do this about 10-20 times. you can also use incline if this is too easy for you. ( i got this from the new fitness rx magazine, by the way this magazine is great)
i also do the donkey thing. i have heavy ankle weights at the house. sometimes i just get on all fours and lift my leg backwards. this is a very good exercise too.
i know the machine you are talking about, but i prefer free weights to machines, especially when it comes to legs and booty. no machine out there can beat the squat or the lunge, in my opinion.
oops i'm sorry naynay, i thought your post was meant as a question, and i just re-read it and realized that it wasn't. sorry! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Tonya, I feel you 10000000%. It's like a curse to be Black with no Bootay. Gosh for the day I long for a butt. The craziest part, I had one, then it disappeared into thin air. There's no hope for me /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif unless I opt for surgery. I hate having to walk past a group of guys and the last thing they see is my Flatty. I have a niece that's 8 years old and she has more of a rump than I do and my mom, she has this beautiful hourglass shape. If she was smaller, she would have a body that resembles Halle Berry's but with a little more bootay. And what am I stuck with ?!?!?! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I'm not even going to lie, I ran across a website that showed surgical procedures for Buttock Augmentation....mann.....I was looking at that site thinking....it won't be that bad lol..... www.betterbuttock.com (http://www.betterbuttock.com) I never knew there was such a procedure. I guess they can do anything nowadays.

I think it was me who mentioned once getting past a size 10. I wasn't using that size generally speaking, but as for myself. Seems as if many people have a size hurdle to get over and once you get over that hurdle....
LOL @ looking at the site.
