Ladies,

For what ever reason I have a ton of business lunches and dinners coming up in the next few weeks and even though I typically don't indulge, I still find it hard to eat clean (for me that means low carb, heavy on fruits and vegatables, low to no processed food, moderate healthy fats).

Next week I've got lunch at a Chinese restaurant, at a Mexican restaurant, and a dinner at an American restaurant. Im most worried about the Mexican food because I don't really like most Mexican food and I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes so choices are limited. Help!

Tips and tricks for eating out and eating clean appreciated!

Most menu's have lower calorie options so I would scan the menu and see.
But some tips that do help are:

Eat only half of your meal
Ask for dressing on the side
Order water or tea
No dessert

Sometimes I do just want to indulge so I make sure I exercise harder and longer after those meals.

Chinese ---- ask for steamed chicken and vegetables with brown rice. If you need more flavor ask for a light ginger sauce on the side or soy sauce .

Thanks!

On another note, have any of you noticed that as you start dropping the pounds some of your girlfriends start either making snide remarks or "pressure" you to eat?

I'm a single gal so I spend a fair amount of time socializing with friends and I'll tell you, it never ceases to amaze me at how somewomen will try and mess up other women's diet plans. At some points I've had to be down right rude because some women will just keep pushing food or making crappy comments trying to shame you into eating.

Anyone else dealing with this and how do you handle it?

Be strong, pretty soon they will be admiring your resolve instead of trying to sabotage you.

Also, don't be afraid to aske for you food cooked a certain way. And if all else fails, get a big green salad and ask them to hold the dressing or put it on the side so you can dip. Drink tons of water when you are out too.

What helped me maintain my weight when I was thin was to EAT before I went out. Then I would order a grilled protein and an entree salad that I never ate.
