Does anyone know if MAC is hypoallergenic? I tried to check their website but can't seem to find the information anywhere. Also, what's your opinion of MAC makeup & what products/colors do you like the best? I'm interested in trying some of their products but would like to know what everyone thinks about them first before spending the money. Thanks.

my mac products aren't marked "hypoallergenic." i'm guessing that they're not.

i like the brand though. they're really brown girl friendly /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and they have a foundation that matches my skin perfectly. i also have powder blush in reed . it's really pretty and it gives the illusion of "glow" when i'm tired! i don't break out when i use this stuff.

i use their lip liner in chestnut and i like their underworld lipstick. it's a deeep wine color that goes nice with my skin color (brown and gold). most of the time i just use the chestnut pencil with their clear lip glass. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin and I use MAC with no problem at all. It is not marketed as a "hypoallergenic" product and therefore, I must assume that it is not. "Hypoallergenic" is a crock anyway. Many so-called hypoallergenic products break me out anyway. No one knows aht your skin is allergic to and you could well break out from something that doesn't affect anyone else. There is a list of known allergens and skin irritants and to qualify as hypoallergenic, the product must NOT contain any of them but it could contain a slew of other things that will cause you a major breakout but not someone else.

I love MAC foundation because I found a perfect color match and I use the liquid "satin finish" and use the dry studio fix foundation as a loose powder which I apply lightly with a large brush. I also use their lip glass in 'Chai" and "Oh Baby" and their lipstick in "Paramount".

Thanks Summer and Renee. I decided to take a chance and ordered the lipglass (clear, lust & spite) and lipliner (straight & spice). If I react to them I guess I can always give them to my sisters. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
