Fashionistas: What are your FALL 2007 Must Haves?

I think that the FALL is my favorite season for fashion. I love the layers....I love stylish wool coats and soft sweaters....I love the coordinating handbags....and I absolutely ADORE boots! :grin: I am finally at a financial position to splurge a little this season, so I am starting my list now.

Cute bag, I love Cole Haan bags! I will also be splurging myself on some fall items. Mostly sweaters, dress slacks, nice khaki's, a pair of boots, dresses and of course handbags. I have my eye on several :lol:

2. some patent or black leather mary janes
3. a red leather bag
4. some nice fitting pants (i think i am missing khaki and chocolate)
5. some brown boots (chocolate)

a pair of kenneth cole driving mocs.
2 pairs of 'work' pants.
and a couple of pairs of khakis.

I have loads of sweaters so i am fine in that department. I think I also need a new purse.

I want a floor length shearling. Black and Brown knee high boots. Jeans, Jeans and more Jeans. I also like the layered look. As far as accessories, I want a Tiffany charm bracelet(not the return to tiffany's) and classic necklace. I will probably buy some Juicy accessories.

coats coats and more coats..i always do a blk, brown, grey, winter white/beige and red--must have

also suede boots several colors..

always blk pumps u can never have to many blk pumps...

patent leather blk bag with gold buckles...

and i ordered some zebra pointy toe pumps...i no longer do the leopard pumps since they have become a trend..but zebra it is...

Hello fellow Bronxite! I am dying for a shearling as well (too short for a floor length, maybe 3/4). When you go shoppin glet me know (LOL). I LOOVEEE Charm bracelets and I think I am going to invest in a real gold or sterling silver one. I have spent so much on the costume ones that i might as well. Oh and girl, please please stay away from Juicy. I am sorry but there acc's turn quickly. I have written a nice letter to their corporate offices about this very matter. I have gone through 2 of their bracelets and they both tarnished fast. Juicy admits, their stuff turns and that it's not gold plated or anything, just pure metal.

I am also looking for some dresses that I can wear when I want to be a lil dressy.
I haven't gotten much on my way to shopping but sweaters are a must. I like to be extra warm at all times;)

Thanks Nikki 1971! I looove that bag…when I tried it on…it just fit. ;) I always wait until an item “speaks” to me…that one was whispering sweet nothings…I love Cole Haan...the leather is always sooo soft

I don't know yet... I get whatever funky items I can find in my grandma's closet and vintage stores. My grandmother gave me a slamming dana buchman (sp) dress today. She also gave me this nice black sweater dress with zebra print trimming. It's all stuff she's had for years and has never worn.

For coats, again I will find those at the thrift store. I always find the best coats in Chicago...so I'll definitely try to get there this fall.

I'll try to hustle some new stuff from my father... I can't afford to buy my own :lol: hence the thrift store (plus I'm such a plain dresser if I shop at malls but I seem to do it big when I get my outfits from thrift stores :lol:).

I'll have to come back with my list once I figure it out...

I rather dread fall shopping. For the simple reason that I like to look reasonably nice, but the school where I teach is mad casual. Read: Faded jeans, t shirts, even bermudas on some of the male teachers. There are, teachers, however, who dress professionally, but they are more the exception than the rule. I don't like looking too much like the proverbial fish out of water, but, at the same time, I don't want to look too much like everyone else. It's a fine line, but I use Ann Taylor as a model of straight-forward, professional clothing for the classroom.

But, to answer the question, I traditionally buy:

1. New shoes
2. A first day outfit - usually a skirt and a nice top or blouse
3. Lightweight tops for skirts and pants
4. Underwear - bras, panties, pantyhose

Later on, I will stock up on turtleneck sweaters, wool pants or corduroy pants, wool or corduroy skirts, opaque tights, and a coat if needed.

hehe they are a 10 and murder to get in and out off but i dont care i love them just when i wear them i hav e to have help lol
