hey
i'm trying to gain some weight and was wondering which one worked better in terms of really addind some weight. i've read good reviews about both. i read that muscle milk tastes delicious & gainer isn't bad tasting either.
has anyone used both? how did they compare?
thanks!

thanks! i just bought a small bottle of muscle milk "chocolate milk" flavor. i don't like it at all! it does NOT taste good. maybe a different flavor will taste better.i'm still going to use it, but maybe add some chocolate syrup to it.
i'm trying to win a case of Scandishake off e-bay. i hear they taste good. i might still go ahead and buy the cytogainer and add something to it if it doesn't taste that good. as long as it gets the job done, i'll put up with the taste.
did you use either one of them? did they really put on the pounds? i'm 5'1 & weigh about 110. i was weighing about 115-119 before, but lost weight after a detox. it really helped my skin but i lost weight. it's very hard for me to gain. i would like to get up to 120-125.

Be careful with your gainer shakes, they can add major calories which may NOT amoun to an increase in lean muscle tissue but rather adipose tissue IF YOU ARE NOT RESISTANCE TRAINING.
For weight gain, increase your calories gradually over a period of time so you can monitor and better control your increases. Not all weight is good weight.

thanks! i do exercise somewhat. not as much as i use to, but i plan to start back. i'm hoping to build some muscle since it weighs more than fat. i'm actually really skeptical about if gainer shakes would help me gain any weight. it seems like NOTHING helps me. i've always been pretty small. but if i could gain a healthy 10-15 pounds i would be happy.

Gaining/losing weight is a numbers gain. To keep it very short and sweet: you need to know about how many calories your eating in a day, from there, try adding 500 calories a day (which will equate to 3,500 calories/1 lb) a week.
When you increase your calories enough to have surplus THEN you will gain weight. I'm not well versed enough to say if you might have something else going on that would prevent you from gaining weight (wish I had that problem). If you've had a physical and you are given the all clear, you can be pretty confident that it's most likely a dietary issue and therefore more easily remedied.
You may try contacting at the people at Beverly International (http://www.beverlyinternational.com). They are VERY helpful and have EXCELLENT supplements. They can (and probably would give you a consultation via email for free if you tell them your needs/goals). Their prices are a bit high but if you order from www.completesupplements.com (shout out to Nina for hipping me to them), theirs are a LOT better and where I personally order from exclusively.
HTH you out some.
