I am in Dallas, Texas and the nautical look is big and getting bigger.

One thing that I really don't like is the shirts with big I mean BIG buttons that look like aprons or smock tops.

Also I've noticed the fabrics are extremely busy almost like knit scrubs.

What's the latest styles in your area.

50-11 colors
Big fake jewelry like this

Dresses over footless tights
Plaid shorts (the long ones)
Lots of plastic bangles

Looks like a lot of 80's styles are coming back.

 @ the bolded! I walked up to a woman and her daughter who were both wearing some bright pink ones and I asked what their shoes did for them. They said they were really comfortable to wear.

I hate those shoes too, they have been quite popular here for a year or so

I would rather wear flip flops.

Here the empire dresses (short) are very popular as well. They are impossible to wear for my body type, I look huge. The footless tights fashion is fading away, but still trendy since this is a cold country and it's great to keep warm on cold summer days.

I see lots of short shorts (dressy) with tights underneath :barf: and flat ballerina shoes and a tank top on many young girls. The shorts can be black or grey and the tights are black or red or something like that.

We got a bit of all of those!

Leggings with everything. I know they aint trousers, you know they aint trousers, if ur arse is flat PLEASE wear a long top! (Anything here (http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaticPageDisplay?storeId=12556&catalogId=19551&identifier=ts1%20zanzibar) with leggings will do)
Smock tops - like the empire line dresses BUT WITH NO EMPIRE LINE. You know them cotton things from the 60s. Yeah those, with the big prints.
The above 2 things together, or leggings under a dress that would be considered a bit too short for everyday wear on it's own, is the biggest trend.
Skinny jeans are still very big.
Waist belts.
We don't have an issue with crocs here yet but I see small kids tryna creep them up. No grown ups as yet.

So basically everyone looks like this (but with flat ballerina pumps)

OMG it's an awful mess. Yesterday a woman wore a black suit with those bright white rubber shoes to work...wow that's all I could say...wow - of course after I threw up a little...lol

ITA with flower hair, I would rather wear flip flops too.

They are good for days you don't want to hold your stomach in all day (for those that have to)

I have heard they are very comfortable (at least the crocs). Not sure about the other brands. I think they are cute on small kids. I wouldn't buy a pair.

All I see in nyc are those damn leggings! IDK, I just don't like or follow that trend but they're everywhere with tunics and now summer dresses. :perplexed Yuck!

leggins came out here but only lasted about 1 season 4months.

ALTHOUGH

I think the girls that are wearing these mini-mini-mini skirts should be required to wear them or else pay a fine for indecency. LOL!

LOL! I love it. I wear a tunic/leggings outfit at least once a week. It suits my shape, and its an easy, comfortable goof-proof combo. But I do make it look cute, if I say so myself :D
