Ladies,

I've ben really doing a terrible job with my diet, eating nothing but junk food for the past few weeks. And although I walk and run a lot, I have gained lots of weight and have no one to blame but myself.

I really need your help. I'm looking for a cleansing program for the next few weeks so rid my body of all the toxins and fat.

Then, I will get back on track with a healthy diet.

I am not looking to juice right now because I don't have access to a juicer. But I would love to do it in healthy way. I've done the Master Cleanse years ago and found that it's really not healthy.

I was also thinking of making an appointment for a colon irrigation treatment. I used to do these once a month years ago and I felt healthier, lighter, and the process helped to jump start my weight loss.

I'm ready to finally get serious about my diet, weight and overall health.

Thanks so much!

Yeah I'd love to hear back too. Hopefully nothing high maintanence! I've been losing weight since March. I'm not plateauing because you'd have to be TRYING to lose weight to be plateauing lol - I've just been bad. I haven't so much gained, I'm just maintaining but not in a healthy way (and I honestly think it's just luck with all the crap I been shovelling in my mouth!!!) I was thinking juice or something too but I just don't have the will power. I got 5/6/7 (depending on the day) lbs to lose to reach my goal of 9 stone (126lbs) - I've lost about 12lbs so far. I feel full of crap basically, I'm constantly full of food and my belly is always firm (I prolly need a good cleansing as well as detox :() HELP!

p.s. sorry to highjack!

It sounds like you're retaining a lot of water due to your diet. Your body has its own internal cleansing mechanisms. Drinking a lot of water (64 oz +) and eating a diet rich in fruits, veggies, lean protein, and whole grains should help your system pass all the junk food and feel lighter. Also if any of those extra calories were stored as fat, eating more energy efficient foods will more than likely cut your calories and give you enough of a deficit (combined with your exercise regimen) to lose the pounds.

I'm no expert but you could try the smooth move tea. Take it for a week at night so that you business is done by the morning and by weeks end it should have the same effect as the colon irrigation treatment.

What is smooth move tea? How does it work? And what are colon irrigation treatments? Are they expensive?

I am taking notes, as well. This past week I had my fill of Creme Brulee, Fruity and creamy cocktails, decedent entrees and a cookout that I TOTALLY pigged out at - all the while nto drinking water like I normally do. I can feel it.

I think a nice cleansing would be beneficial. I thought that uping my water would be good enough though.

Smooth Move tea sounds interesting, though. Off to Google...

i think i used to get that at gnc. it is a smooth move too!!
but i would say eat raw green veggies and protein for a couple of days. dont cook the veggies!! load up on the protein and dont eat any carbs. drink plenty of water, of course and try hot lemon water. it will flush the water out of your body. if you drink juices and sodas...STOP! or limit your sodas to 1 12oz diet a day as well as coffee and teas.

You can find the smooth move tea at gnc. It is a mild laxitive that produces a bowel within 6-8hrs. If you use it for a prolonged period of time (and by prolonged I mean a week or two) it will clean out you system. The master cleanse, espson salt, sea salt, juicing ect are all ways of using some sort of laxitive to clean out your system. I find this to be the simplest way. I do believe that any sort of cleansing should be combined with a healthy diet. But as far as my dieting goes I eat a little of everything (in moderation) no cutting carbs or counting calories. Drink plenty of water, eat fruits and veg, whole grains whenever possible and controlled portion sizes.
