Afford to be fashionable at a reasonable price?

I have limited funds and love a lot of styles I see. Yet one item can run over 100.00 dollars. How do you buy many items so you do not have to wear the same thing over and over again? I don't believe is charging items to credit cards. I just wonder how people do it. At this time a higher salary it not with in my reach. TIA. Sorry if this has been asked b4. I rarely come in this section.

I started out making sure I had the basics and then built from there. I also shopped at loehmans, tj maxx, marshalls, annie sez, etc. Stores where you can get good quality or designer apparel for a reasonable prices. Although stores like tj maxx can be a pain, (searching through all the stuff)...I can get a tahari suit for under $100.00 which is very very good. - but you'll have to shop seperates to find it there not usually hanging together.
Also outlet stores, I have a bebe, sacks, and nordstorm outlet by me and can usually find good deals as well.

Also once you have the basics then you could accesorize, handbags, shoes, jewelry, etc. to change up the look.

Hopes this helps.

I mainly shop at major retail stores and these stores are always on a markdown schedule (kinda like Vicki's semi ann sale). Learn what day of the week markdowns are made and when the major percentages (75%) fall. When you catch on to the days and times of the year mark it on the calendar. Granted you will have a short time to wear the "it" pieces while still in season, you can still save those items for next year. (make sure it's a style that can withstand the test of time, no fads)

ITA that TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Filene type stores are great for discounted clothing. The only problem is that you have to be a really good at hunting through the mess and assembling your own fits from stratch.
