CONTACT LENSE WEARERS...Beware

of the Solution that you use. I got an eye infection in both of my eyes using solution from Alcon for soft lenses. I'm currently taking medication to clear it up but I wanted to warn you to be careful. I don't even wear contacts frequently nor do I sleep in them, yet when I wore my lenses for 2 consecutive days, on the second day when I removed my lenses my eyes were RED and itchy. It felt like I had sand in my eyes, I went to my physician immediately and was told that it was an infection due to the solution. I am very meticulous about cleaning my lenses and equipment so this is not a matter of how cleansy you are....it's the solution. Be careful and if you feel something isn't right then go to the doctor immediately because people are going blind from this.

For the longest my sister had to use a saline to rinse her contact before she put them in her eyes. She just couldn't come in direct contact with the solutions. I don't think she uses the saline anymore. I've been wearing contacts for a long time. I haven't had much problems.
