For those that have used any of it, can you please tell what if anything it did for your skin.

Thanks

I was prescribed a glycolic acid wash by a dermatologist a few years ago. It was called MD Forte. (It is also sold on the internet)

Along with my prescription Benzoyl Peroxide cream over a period of 2 or 3 months, my face was completely clear. I mean all my brown marks were gone!

I have since used JUST the benzoyl peroxide cream (for a few years) alone WITHOUT the glycolic acid cleanser--I only bought it twice then discontinued use, and my brown spots I get from picking at my face take FOREVER to clear up.

It was in recent months that I realized that it was probably the glycolic acid that cleared up my spots. Therefore, I purchased Reviva Glycolic Acid Cleanser and my spots are diminishing. But, I think the higher concentrations of glycolic acid (10%) work better. (The MD Forte was 10% glycolic acid).

I plan to purchase a higher concentration cleanser as soon as I'm done with the Reviva one.

So, to make a long story short, glycolic acid is GREAT FOR CLEARING UP MARKS ON YOUR SKIN. It's a good exfoliator.

BTW, if you have sensitive skin, you might want to purchase a lower % of glycolic acid and WORK UP to a higher concentration as it irritates some people's skin. You might want to start with the Reviva one (VitaminShoppe) it is only like 2%.

Hi Blkmane!

Could you tell me which BP creme you use on your face...I find that products that contain that are very good for my skin and am very interested in a creme I can put on in the days/nights.

Thank you!

Diamond

It's prescription. It's called Benzamycin. It's a gel. It's a mixture of BP and an antibiotic. I apply it at night. It works pretty well if you use it often. I have an "ongoing" prescription for it.

My dermatologist recommended that I use "Glytone Wash" for my dark marks as well. It contained glycolic acid. She started me on the face peel and wash then the body wash and lotion. It clears up dark marks and smooths the skin. I bought some over the counter products that contain glycolic acid like:
Neutrogena healthy skin daily moisturizer
Neutrogena healthy skin (anti wrinkle, anti blemish) face wash or scrub
Oil of olay regenerist daily mini peel
