Everytime I lose weigh, my butt is always gets smaller and I don't want that. I just want to keep the butt and tone up. Any suggestions?

Ok, I asked arond about this because I am bootiless....well I do have some booty, but not as much as I feel I should have as a black woman!

Anyway, they way I understand it is you cannot control where your body loses weight from. The way to do it is lose all the weight you want i.e. get to your ideal size etc. Then the fun part! You then switch over to weight GAIN. So you need to up protein and take in more calories than you burn and focus on building muscle (i.e. weights) esp. lower body training. It won't be "jiggly" but it'll be high and it'll stay up there and look great in or out of clothing:D This is my plan:cool:

Sadly, there really isn't anything that you can do about that. If you lose the weight from your butt first, nothing can stop that. You can do lunges to build the muscle in the legs and buttocks, but that will only do so much. If you think that you have lost too much buttock volume, implants or fat transfer is the way to go.

Unfortunatley you can't spot train BUT you can do exercises specifically for the butt to build up glute muscles such as:

1. Squats
2. Squats with weights
3. Lunges
4. Lunges with weights

Trust me, those will tone up the glutes in no time flat while you lose weight.

Thanks, I love having a great size butt so I guess it's one or the other. Lose the weight and lose the butt or keep the weight and keep the butt. I wonder how beyonce does it. I don't want to have a muscular small butt.

Power walking! I have been doing this for about a year now, and I have really toned up my thighs, butt, legs and tummy. My booty is still there but is nice and tight (I couldn't find a better term to use, sorry).

Now that sounds great also. Need to try that.

It is impossible to target where you lose weight. I take it if you are losing at the bottom first then you carry more at the top? Just lose all you want and worry about the butt later. You can build a butt if needs be:)

I think it has a lot to do with genetics. I think Beyonce naturally has a small waist and large hips, so when she loses weight, her body still looks that way. I'm sure she'd probably like to keep as much of her breasts as she can since she has small breasts, but unfortunately, like someone else said, you cannot spot train.

I think squats and lunges can do you some good though. More importantly, I think running sprints will definitely help a lot. Consider the rear ends of track runners. You may want to look into some of their training regimines.

AMEN on the breasts. I started loosing weight and looked up one day and my bra didnt fit anymore, my SO said he saw it but didnt want me to get upset about the loss :crying3: I'm very disappointed since this is one spot I finally felt was perfect, 38C. I wonder if any of those breast enhancement vitamins I saw in the Vitamin Shoppe actually work. I gotta be more careful what I wish for, lol.

Well, back to the butt, I found the Firm Series worked really well for my tush. That Fanny Lifter aint no joke!
