View Full Version : What's Beyonce's Workout Routine?

I have gained a few pounds and most of it has gone to my butt, thighs, and belly; I'm slightly pear shaped. I went from a size 1 to a size 3/4. Weight went from 110 to 120! And my height is 5'6. I don't mind the extra pounds/added curves/shape...but I want to look more defined. Beyonce is bigger than me in size, but she somehow manages to make her size look fine.

For example, she is very bottom heavy, but her waist is extremely tiny, which puts her into proportion. I want to stay the same size that I am NOW, but get a smaller waist and tone my thighs. I also need to tone up my arms as well.

Is anyone aware of what workout routines Beyonce follows, and what foods she eats or avoids? I love my chicken and southern/latino food too, so I just need to workout more to balance my somewhat unhealthy diet.

For her butt I know she does ball bridges:

a: sit on a stability ball and walk your feet forward until you roll down to the base of your shoulders: your head, neck, and shoulders should be laying on the ball. From your knees to your head should be parallel to the floor. From your knee down should be parallel to a wall or the ball.

b: lower your hips or butt down to 1 inch above the floor. Hold for 2 seconds and squeeze your butt and rise back up to start from the starting position.

To make it more challenging....you can put weights in your hand on top of your hips so you butt has to squeeze and work harder to come back up

On BET's 106 and Park, it was mentioned that she used an elliptical as part of her regimen to get in shape for the release of her first album a couple of years ago.

Also, I think her contract with Loreal had some dietary restrictions--she had to cut out fried foods while she was under contract.

In an interview once she said she runs on the treadmill. Sometimes on manual other times with hills. I don't know how many miles but she said she runs to lose all over.

Bumping. I don't have Beyonce's shape (slightly more Kim K, although I'm a little thinner), but I would like to use exercise to define my butt more (my booty isn't very big, but I think developing the muscles in it would make it look more firm)!
