Hi ladies

I was wondering if anyone could give instructions on how to make up your eyes so they look really nice. I don't really wear makeup ever, but when I go out I like to wear a neutral lipcolor and play up my eyes, but I always have to go for the smokey eye look, or sheer shimmer look because I don't know what I'm doing. I would like to learn how to use more than one shade of color...any ideas?

Hey Kaela...Eye makeup is sooooo much fun...I hope I can help!

Depending on the look you want, you can do a couple of things...here's what I do...

Shimmery eyes:
Apply a light, shimmery color to the entire eye, up to the brow. Put a slightly darker color in the crease for definition and add a lighter color on the lid itself. Finish up with a thin line of eyeliner and mascara.

Smokey Eyes:
Apply a neutral shade to the entire eye, up to the brow. Depending on how dark you want your eyes, you can use a color anywhere from deep plum to blue, all the way to black (be careful if you use black, you might end up looking like you went 10 rounds http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/fishslap.gif ) Apply that color to the crease of your eye and along the edge nearest the lashes. Connect the color in your crease to the color on your lash line by drawing sort of sideways "V" at the outside corner of your eye. Then apply a slightly lighter shade in the middle of your eyelid and blend so the different shades aren't so separated. Apply black eyeliner and mascara. If you want to be more dramatic, you can also apply black eyeliner to your lower eyelid and smudge with a sponge wedge.

I really hope this helps, it's kind of hard to describe how to do it in writing...feel free to reply or PM me if you have anymore questions!

Hugs,
Crys
