View Full Version : Has Anyone Used Tweeze To Remove Hair?
It's supposed to be better than waxing and removes hair for 6 weeks. Have you tried this yet?

If I do my eyebrows myself, I tweeze; a steady hand is necessary and try not to overpluck..

Thanks for your reply. I also tweeze my eyebrows. I meant there is a product called, "Tweeze" that removes hair for up to 6 weeks, on the face, bikini line, underarms, etc. :) Has anyone ever tried it? It seems to be fairly new.

Isis, Tweeze reminds me of another electric gadget whose name eludes me now that plucked hair out like tweezers. The packaging and ads referred to it as painless but I can tell you that even waxing didn't hurt that bad. I took it back to the store within 15 mins of buying it, after succeeding in removing just an inch of hair on my leg and crying out in agony (Did I mention that the effort to use the thing had me sweating profusely?)
The gadget I got had metal parts that were wavy and so as it rotated, the waves on the metal parts would meet to pull the hair out and then part. I tweeze my eyebrows with a pair of regular tweezers and like the control this method provides as it's hard to pluck out more than I need to this way. Even if I was crazy enough to dare test my pain threshold with Tweeze, I don't think I'd want to use it on my eyebrows as I would be afraid of not being steady enough to ensure I didn't take out too much hair since the thing - if it works like the one I tried - rotates continuously when turned on so you have to make sure you're moving in a straight line.
ETA: An epilator (http://www.folica.com/Epilady_Legend__r3358_1.html) is that "painfree" :look: hair removal gadget I was trying to remember.

I bought one off theshoppingchannel.com a few months ago. I only used it about twice. I think it works best on fine hair. It removed the hair from my upper lip but stung alot.
It's a different sensation than tweezing with tweezers because you have less control over where and how slowly/gently the hair is removed. I also tested it on my hand/upper wrist. It was a little less painful there, and the hair did come out from the root.
I wish I could just "suck it up" and become accostom to the pain because I don't really like using Nair. I've also tried and failed several times at self-waxing. I'll probably give Tweeze a try again in the near future.

I have the Tweeze. I just got it this week. I have not used it yet but will report back as soon as I do.

Thank you so much Nonie and Karma1981 for sharing your experiences. Now, I don't know if I want this. :scratchch I certainly don't care for pain, which is why I prefer not to wax. In the meantime, I'll just continue to shave.
