I bought two tubs of this stuff last weekend and they are really good! they come in tubs like the profective hair products, are pricey though (€12.50 each) they have them in a range of yummy flavours (olive oil cocao butter, shea butter, mango etc etc. some of them, like the mango, shea and cocoa are for 'very dry skin' i think they moisturize v. well without being greasy and leave the skin soft and smooth. i dont have the list but they also contain water, glycerine and 'cones (!)-in fact the ingredient list is no different to what u would find in some hair moisturizers!so i was thinking it would be good on my hair ends as well /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif since i am living out here where black hair products are hard to come by and i run out of my profective megagrowth i tried out the shea bodybutter on my hair and roller set over nite. my hair was so black, silky, shiny so soft and really moistened in the morning and remained so even after i spent all day in the freezing cold without protective styling. this bodybutter plus the condition wash and leave in, both done with the pantene smooth and sleek is really taking me thru till i can get over to london for hair products!! anybody else tried the bodyshops bodybutter?? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I use the Nut Body Butter. I plan to try the Cranberry AND the cranberry scrub since Allandra has been raving about it.

Oh no, Pandora!
First you mention olive oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter.
Then you say that you can use it in your hair.
Now I have to go to the Body Shop and find those body butters!

The Body Shop is phasing out the Soy Body Butter. It is $9 USD per tub while supplies last.

I'm studying in Manchester and the body butter here is £6.50 a jar.
I do like the palmer's cocoa butter though which is really good for dry skin.

i do like the nut body butter, but at £10 a pop, i am thinking that i may not buy it again, especially since the supermarkets over here (esp. sainsburys) are coming out with some good butters at 1/3 of the price. Yes, LD, you're right, they never seem to go on sale, *however* they had this cranberry one (200ml) that was for £5 on sale. It has a really pretty smell, as they use the tincture of real cranberries. I think that it is ny a seasonal thing though, since it only came out at christmas, and is already on sale.
Hmmm... you can use the body butter on your hair, eh? I tried that once a long time ago, when my hair was shorter, and the texture was different. I will try again.

the cannabis butter is called 'hemp' butter by the body shop. I *think* it is a smidgen more expensive than the ordinary ones. The hemp butter has an interesting 'greeny' sort of smell though, and the mixture is a bit smoother than the other butters. What i like is the intensive hand serum though... now, if i could only afford £7.50 to buy it...

I use to like the coconut body butter but can't find myself spending $15 for a jar that's only half full. I'm using body butters from other company that give you more product for your money and I feel moisturizes better IMO.

Girl,
Now they're $16. When I went to The Body Shop in December, I noticed the price of the body butters had gone up a dollar. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Please share with us the body butter that you're using now. TIA.

I'm currently using Carol's Daughter Cocoa Butter Body Souffle in Mango. Bath & Body Works sells body butters now in all of their famous scents but they are not as moisturizing as the Carol's Daughter's.

Really? I'm digging B&BS body butters, but you can never have too moisturized skin.. I'll have to try Carol's Daughters.. I found her web page (http://www6.mailordercentral.com/carolsdaughter/departments.asp) But, where's the store??

Okay I broke down and finally went out to buy one of the body butter creams. I figured I'd spend about $15...they were having a sale 3 for $21 of any combination(lotion, splash...etc.) so of course I couldn't pass that up! Then I also got some salt scrub and the shea butter body cream called 'Lay it on thick'. This stuff is the bomb! I ended up spending $60. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif But I feel so smooth and moisturized and I smell so good... I don't care. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I look at it as a birthday present to myself. I haven't splurged on my body in a while...(been spending it all on my hair). I am now hooked on the body butters...especially the shea butter(it comes in a blue tube). I have VERY dry skin and I give this 3 thumbs up! /forums/images/graemlins/up.gif /forums/images/graemlins/up.gif /forums/images/graemlins/up.gif

Hey Sweetcocoa, /forums/images/graemlins/wave.gif
I'm glad you treated yourself to some real nice birthday gifts. I LOVE The Body Shop. I spent seventy some dollars the last time I went in there (late November/early December). I only go there every so often, so a girl has got to stock up you know. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Enjoy those goodies. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
The Bodyshop are doing a special offer on body butters in the UK at the moment. Its £17.00 for two.

The thing to do is get a job working there during the holiday rush. Then you can stock up on all your favorites at a good discount. (40-50% depending on the store!)
