I'm 5'2 and weigh 135lbs. I want to lose about 35lbs so that I won't have a stomach. The problem is I eat way too much to do that, and I can't seem to curb my cravings. So I was wondering how much exercise I'd need so that th e extra calorie intake wouldn't matter.
I'm not sure how much my calorie intake/day is, roughly, but I think there's a way you can find out by comparing your weight/height?
I'm going to apologize in advance if I don't respond/respond slowly to the thread. I noticed that I do that a lot. I read all the thread responoses, but I just never get around to replying. ^^;;

Im not sure, but I dont think 100lbs @ 5'2 is a healthy body weight. That sounds a bit extreme, and depending on your body type it may be impossible to obtain without serious health risk. I dont think losing 35lbs would be necessary to get your stomach down, but then again I dont know how you are carrying the weight on you. Im 5'3 and 132lbs, and I dont have a very large stomach, but the closer I get to 140lbs, I hold more weight there.
I have no advice concerning your question, but advice you look into whether or not this is a healthy bodyweight for you.
ETA: According to this site, your goal weight would put you underweight.

:yep: I agree. I'm 5'3", 112 lbs., and my stomach is flat. My weight sits in my hips and thighs, and I'm slender every where else. I can't imagine losing 10 lbs at my size. :eek: :nono:
However, like HC said, it depends on how you carry it.
As far as how much exercise you would need, that, IMO, would depend almost entirely on variables like how often you plan to exercise, what type of exercise you plan to do, whether you intend to alter your eating at all, etc.
Regardless, I would start out with light cardio 2-3 times a week if you're not used to exercising...then you could move up to more days or increase the length of your workouts.

Pilates will work your power house. Loose that belly in no time. Cardio for at least 30min 3 times a week. Dance walk or jump on the mini trampoline. What ever will get that heart rate up will do it for the cardio.
