Has anyone done this diet? Did it work for you? I am a type 0 and I was shocked at what I was supposed to stay away from. Unfortunately it was most of the things I like. I do think its doable. Anyone?

I've seen the information on the blood type diet as well and was also shocked! Staying away from diary is VERY difficult for me because I absolutely LOVE eggs. Also, it was disturbing for me to know that wheat gluten was our main source of weight gain, according to this info. I love cereal too and it's impossible to find some without gluten! I'm anxious for someone who has tried it to chime in, especially those with type O blood...anyone??

It is kinda shocking, but I have to say the part about type 0's being prone to stomach ulcers because we have very acidic stomachs makes sense to me. I used to get sharp pains in my stomach all the time and I couldn't understand why.

I was a bit skeptical about this, but the things they said about type O are true for me. I do have problems with my thyroid and I am insulin resistant.
And I don't want to eat none of the stuff they want me to which could explain why I need a diet in the first place.

I have this book too. I was shocked at some of the things that I should avoid or have less of but now that I think about it, this book is right on target for my O+ blood type. I do think the diet is doable, it's just a matter of rapping my mind around this way of eating all the time.

I'm A positive. I'm going to have to Google to find out some of what this diet recommends for my type.

I've reduced the amount of wheat/gluten in my diet, and I have experienced weight loss. I also don't have constant allergy symptoms like I used to.:yep: There's something to be said for that! I was a total breakfast cereal junkie, I would eat it at least once a day! I still occasionally eat cereal with wheat (I love Kashi cereals), but there are strictly gluten-free varieties available. Do a Google search or try any health food store. Some large grocery stores carry gluten-free cereals too, check in the health food section. Basically, you're going to want to look for products that don't contain wheat.

Surprisingly, I already seem to eat "right for my type" (note: I'm follwing the Jay Robb Fat Burning Diet). However, I do love my peppers, potatoes, and sweet potatoes! They'll have to pry my beloved red bell peppers from my cold dead hands.

Have you tried a cereal that doesn't have gluten that tastes good? Goodness, Honey Nut Cheerios and the Kashi Go Lean Crunch are my VICES! If I don't eat a piece of toast at some point during the day, I most assuredly have cereal a lot because it's quick. Ugh.

It's working great! I have so much more energy now, and I don't crave sweets like I used to. I didn't really need to lose weight, but I wanted to change my eating habits. I wound up losing about 10 lbs. in the process, and my body fat % has dropped (which was a goal of mine). I'm very pleased with it!

I guess it's good that I'm allergic to seafood, then! But honestly, I'd say you could have those every once in awhile, THEY JUST MIGHT KILL YOU!:eek: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

I am an O and some of what's there doesn't make sense. I can eat grapefruit and not oranges and tangerines?
