Here is mine

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=6&version=31#fen-NIV-23310b)]?

28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'

32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:25-34.

Matthew 5:44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

This was posted in my dorm when I first got saved and was in the military. It allowed me to forgive a lot of people and not strangle others. Q

Psalm 91. When I was younger, I went through a period of time where I was having nightmares and couldnt sleep and this brought me comfort and peace and it let me sleep. My late aunt gave it to me.

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Passage Psalm 27 :

Psalm of David

I will read this when i feel the world is closing in on me, My mom and I would read this passage to my late grandmother when she was sick and in the hospital. She liked to hear it. miss her.

1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
9Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
12Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Right now... 1 Corinthians 13:1-13...

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:2&sr=1&t=nas) If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:3&sr=1&t=nas) And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

4 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:4&sr=1&t=nas) Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:5&sr=1&t=nas) does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:6&sr=1&t=nas) does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:7&sr=1&t=nas) bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:8&sr=1&t=nas) Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:9&sr=1&t=nas) For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:10&sr=1&t=nas) but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:11&sr=1&t=nas) When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:12&sr=1&t=nas) For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 (http://www.studylight.org/desk/?query=1co+13:13&sr=1&t=nas) But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I probably need to meditate on this everyday! ;) :)

God's faithful and can't lie:

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Right Now it's:

John 14:27 (New International Version)

27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Proverbs 27:17 (New International Version)

17 As iron sharpens iron,
so one man sharpens another.

And the psalm that I prayed when I first re-dedicated my life to God

Psalm 51

1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.

4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.

5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

6 Surely you desire truth in the inner parts [a] ;
you teach [b] me wisdom in the inmost place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones you have crushed rejoice.

9 Hide your face from my sins
and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will turn back to you.

14 Save me from bloodguilt, O God,
the God who saves me,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.

16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.

17 The sacrifices of God are [c] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart,
O God, you will not despise.

18 In your good pleasure make Zion prosper;
build up the walls of Jerusalem.

19 Then there will be righteous sacrifices,
whole burnt offerings to delight you;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."

Reading all of these passages has been very uplifting...

I was thinking about the "iron sharpens iron" one for a while... And that is exactly what is happening with me as I visit this forum. For sure, I was becoming a little dull in the drawer. :) So I wanted to say thanks to all who contribute in this Christian Fellowship area... just taking time to reason together has been a blessing... :)

I can't remember exactly where but this is in the book of proverbs.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not unto your own understanding
In all your way acknowledge him
And he shall direct your paths.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flames scorch you. For I am the Lord your God.

This is marked in my Bible as one of the most comforting passages next to Psalms 91
