I recently started a weight lost plan.

I cut out all beverages (except occasional hot cocoa, tea, cappacino). I'm only drinking water.

I try not to eat three hrs prior to bed. Very hard because of late night studying. And on days I get home from dance practice (around 11p) I'm starving. I try quinching my hunger with a fruit and water.

I usually workout and THEN eat when I work out in the afternoon/evening) (was told that was better)

Other days I try working out in the morning (before breakfast)

My work outs consist of stretching, 100 jumping jacks for warm up, ten laps of jogging around track non stop, 120 crunches/ab excercises, 80 arm excercises with dumb bells. I'm trying to tone and focus on upper body.

Of course I try watching what I eat. No white bread, chips, fries, turkey and chicken breast are only meats I eat, no candy only occassional mints or gum, no fried foods

Anything you guys wanna add? Recommend a change?

Well, I personally don't work out on an empty stomach but if you don't have any problems doing that then go ahead. As far as your regime goes, do you plan on alternating the intensity of your jogging. It helps to change your pace evry couple of workouts. I know you are trying to focus on your upperbody but your leg muscles are some of the biggest in your body, therefore they burn alot of calories. You should still do some strength training for your legs for this very reason. If your goal is weight loss first, then do your warm-up and hit the weights first. If building muscle and tightening up is your primary goal then do your cardio first and then hit the weights. Why don't you try some circuit training as well.

What arm exercises are you going to do? Make sure you are working your whole upperbody. For example, chest presses- hits the chest and triceps, Bent rows-hits back and biceps, Alernating shoulder presses- hit most deltiods, Triceps dips- hit triceps. By working your whole upperbody, you will get a more effective workout. Your will burn more calories this way and create a more balanced upperbody.

I'm not starving before workouts, just not hungry..til after I'm done of course. I'll definitely change my regimen to warm up then weights since weight lost is my primary goal. I'm doing really simple arm exercises with dumb bells. Like the forearm curl, front deltoid raise, and hammer curl.
