OK....there's a flood of products out there that promise to whiten teeth. Some claim to do it immediately, some take up to two weeks. Can folks post their results with various products as well as the price paid for the product? Thanks yall...

simply white, plus white, even the stuff that the dentist supposedly use (i got it off ebay)...the last gave me the best results, but nothing has given me spectacular results

Rembrandt recently sent me some samples of their toothpastes. I've tried two of them so far, and my teeth feel good afterward. I haven't used the products long enough to see the results as of yet, but a friend of mine has received great results!

In May , I tried Crest White Strips for about 10 days. I noticed my whiter teeth within the first three days. My teeth became sore / sensitive to the product and I stopped using it..

Recently , I bought the new Sonicare Elite toothbrush. Been using it for two weeks now. I loveeee it . And , yes my teeth are so much whiter I cannot believe the difference.

I used the crest whitestrips and like JFEMME says, I saw result in about 4-5 days. My teeth were so white I would talk to people and they would stop and comment on my teeth. Back then it was like 37 a pack now I think it is around 25. To me very worth it. I think if you smoke and drink coffee it may not be strong enough. But for general, brighteneing and it your teeth are not that yellow it is an excellent product.
I recently tried the colgate brush aon and it did nothing !!!

I'm interested in this too. And is there a difference in results between the Crest Whitestrips and the Crest Night Effects? The night one is cheaper..

I have used night effects and I have also gotten a professional treatment but inight effects are faster easier and less painful (gums became sensitive) than the professional. But veneers are the best option-- they dont stain so you have perfectly white teeth forever!

Thanks ladies. Im gonna call 1-800-britesmile and compare what they have to say w/ the review given on this board. So far, the Crest strips seem to be the way to go. Eckerd has a sale on them now...

Okay, this post has made me want to pull out the Crest Nite Effects that I bought about a month ago. I've purchased the Crest Whitestrips, Colgate Simply White, and other at-home whitening gels. I've also been fitted for those teeth guard type things in the doctor's office, where you apply the gel and wear it overnight. I've also got a Sonicare toothbrush, and that other brush they advertise on TV, where you put the whitening gel in or on the brush. Unfortunately, I can't give you a review of any of these things, because I've been too lazy to use any of them consistently. I'm just awful.

But Lunalight, I have had my teeth whitened at one of those BriteSmile centers, about three years ago. I was disappointed. I didn't notice much difference. It could have been the office I went to or the technicians there. Your experience may turn out differently. On a lot of the makeover shows I've seen, they've used a process called Zoom, which I think is similar to the BriteSmile technique. The results of that always seem impressive.

I used the one that my dentist offers, but I work with a young lady who used the crest white strips and her results were just as good as mine http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

LunaLight, it's been a few years, but I think the cost of the treatment was $350, maybe $400 (I hope I didn't pay that much, but it's hard to remember). At the time, the official BriteSmile website was offering a discount if you made an appointment with a local treatment center through the site. I think the cost back then would otherwise have been $500 or $600.

I have used the Crest Whitestrips and definitely noticed the difference. At the same time I was using the strips, my husband had his teeth whitened in the dentist's office. You really couldn't tell a difference in terms of whiteness. So, needless to say, he decided save some money and use the strips for maintenance. (Using the strips every 6 months keeps your teeth white.)

That definately brings back memories (only we didn't have the electric tb)... our teeth were very white back than and so was our parents.

I just finished my testing of crest white strips.
My teeth weren't that stained and I doubt they will ever be wow them white. The strips did their job and i certainly see a difference. They leave your teeth porous though and more easily susceptible to staining. The also leave them a bit sensitive. I would try them again though!

I used to bleach my teeth twice a year and I tried the Crest Strips and they worked the same, plus they are much cheaper. I tried the Colgate stuff but I hate that gooey film on my teeth. It didn't work as well as the strips. I am using the Night Effects now and so far no significant difference. I think yesterday made a week. Anything you have to paste on your teeth doesn't work for me. I feel silly smiling at myself for a minute until it dries. I probably didn't let it dry for long enough. That makes it too inconvenient to use in my book. My vote is for the Crest Strips.

OK...now Im leaning towards the Crest white strips...I thought the Night Effects was a strip too...if its a brush on, I may not like it...

Overall best method: Using baking soda and an electic toothbrush. I have tried Colgate Simply White, and the results were ok, but I just hated having to wait for that stuff to try. When I was little, my mom swore by baking soda and peroxide, and the peroxide was a little too scary for me (started to fizz), so I just always left that part out.

Sweet C, I will try this. Thank you.
