Ladies the winter days are coming and I'm looking for suggestions on good skin moisterizers for the body. I can lotion up really good before going to work and notice once the cold gets to my skin it looks like i haven't taken the time to do anything like I just got out the shower and went to work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:)

Stuff I use that seems to work:

Palmers Cocoa Butter

Kiehl's Creme de Corps

Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion

Neutrogena Sesame Seed Oil (I mix this with any lotion and it helps)

Nivea Creme (the one in the blue tin)

Haken Whipped Body Butter

I feel you. I have very dry skin during the winter months as well and the only lotion/body moisturizer that I've found that works for me are the Body Butters from The Body Shop (specifically the Brazil Nut or the Mango Body Butters). The contain shea butter. I've been using these for years....I don't even buy bottled lotion anymore. They definitely keep the ashy skin at bay throughout the day.

I use Lush Dream Cream and Cetaphil cream. If I am supper dry I seal in the cream by using jojoba oil after the cream sinks in.

I have extremely dry skin in the winter, no matter how much water or Flaxseed Oil I take in. I have 3-4 suggestions for you

1. My #1, no-fail winter cream is the Body Shop's Shea Body Butter - it is sooooo moisturizing without looking or feeling greasy ( I've used the Mango body butter from them and it leaves an ...ummm... high shine...*cough cough*:look: ). I am also currently trying their vitamin E body butter for the first time (it's on sale for $10 right now ladies) and I like it a lot but of course, it hasn't been winter tested by me yet. BS body butters are usually $18.00

2. Over the summer, I have been using Bath and Body Works Pure Simplicity Line the Pumpkin body butter and Lychee body butter. They are both great but the pumpkin leaves your skin so soft. Now they are really moisturizing as well but I haven't winter-tested these either. Cost - $12

3. Jergens also has a new Shea butter cream which i've used this summer - very thick and moisturizing but doesn't go on as smooth as the two above. But costwise really good - $5.50

4. Vaseline has a new Cocoa butter cream (not the lotion) and I've just heard that it's good. Haven't tried it myself. Should be in the same range as the Jergens.

HTH!!!

Cetaphil cream is what I use in the winter and sometimes I mix with vaseline. But sometimes i use vaseline right when I come out the shower and then its nice and creamy without being greasy.
