Hi ladies, just wanted to get some feedback on some of your fave hygiene products(douches, sprays, cleansers etc) I currently use the Massengill douches(vinegar and water and baby powder scent) which are okay. I really liked using the yellow powder packets by massengill that were on the market about 10 years ago. Felt much cleaner down there and loved the eucalyptus vapor feeling...clean for days. That product is now defunct and I'm on a massive manhunt to find a product that matches its quality. Norforms is another product I use occasionally for freshness but I don't exactly like how the pellets melt and make you leak..gotta use a small pad with those. I have heard about he Limisol douche from the Dominican Rep that the ladies use there and have some Dom friends who give it the thumbs up. Anyone here use it? Also, have any of you ladies used the carib carbolic soap? It is in a red and white packet and it is also from Dominican Rep. It has a very medicinal clean smell and I only use it for hand washing. Would love to use it for feminine area but the red is too red and I'm worried about the dye affecting that area. Would love any feedback. In search of new products. Stephanie

I'd heard from all of my gynocologist that douching was bad. But, my gyno did tell me about a product (and gave me a sample) called RepHresh and I really liked it. She told me to use it the first time, following my cycle. It was easy to use, but kinda pricey.

Maybe its a cultural thing, but I certainly couldn't imagine being comforted by a eucalyptus smelling vagina. It must be, because Lamisol is a bit hit-it supposedly make you tighter (albeit, and drier.)

I don't think you're supposed to use anything down there. If you eat a healthy, clean diet with lots of veggies and water, you shouldn't need to. Anything else will act as an irritant and mess you up in the long run.

I don't use anything, I just wash with Dove unscented soap, and I don't feel like I'm not clean.

I try not to do too much because I've gotten some bladder infections and my doc told me to avoid douches; scented soaps, tampons, or sanitary napkins; bubbles baths, etc. because they can cause bladder infections. I figure that it may be best to avoid anything but the unscented soap.

But I do know ppl who use feminine products with no probs. I guess it depends on the person.

I will NEVER EVER use anything else on my C(see)-U(you) -N(ext)-T(uesday) except Dove and water !! Sorry I had to be so wild with it but I am still mad at that stuff!!! The ONLY soap that I use in my "womanly space" is DOVE. Nothing more...nothing less.

LOL:lachen:. I just use plain soap and water. A douche will clean away your vagina's natural cleaning ability. Eat right and drink plenty of water and the vagina will clean itself

Same here. I don't use anything but soap and water. I never need anything else.

I use Summer's Eve Sensitive Skin Feminine Wash...its soap-free and it gets the job done. I don't use bar soap, I'm a body wash kind of girl, and with all the perfumes etc in that stuff, I don't go anywhere near my 'girl' with it.

i used to use summer's eve and then i decided to take a bath with vinegar. i usually only take showers. someone here suggested it. what you do is full up pour maybe 3 or 4 capfuls of vinegar. the tub sit in with your legs spread for about 10/15 mins. you'll feel very fresh and clean. after i did that i stopped buying summer's eve. i think it migth work even without the vinegar.

No vaginal products for me. My body easily gets out of whack and there is nothing worse than a yeast infection. I get worried if I use too many tampons.

I would be worried about introducing foreign substances into your vaginal cavity. It's like a fast track into your system. But, not everyone is built the same.

Good Luck.
